США могут пересмотреть помощь Грузии из-за ее антизападного разворота

Соединенные Штаты могут пересмотреть помощь, которую оказывают Грузии, из-за принятия скандального закона «О прозрачности иностранного влияния» и антизападного разворота страны. Об этом сказал при общении с журналистами в среду представитель Государственного департамента Мэтью Миллер.
Миллера спросили, как США планируют действовать дальше в отношениях с Грузией, учитывая последние события в стране и откровенно недружественные заявления политиков партии власти.
Представитель сказал, что будет сдержан с ответом, потому что пересмотр отношений с Грузией, который сейчас идет в Госдепе, может означать серьезные изменения политики.
«Речь идет, в частности, об объемах помощи, которые мы предоставляем Грузии – за последние несколько лет бюджетировали примерно 390 млн долларов, сейчас это пересматривается. Это о потенциальных санкциях, визовых ограничениях – что мы анонсировали менее двух недель назад. Сейчас мы исследуем, что делать, как и когда это делать», – рассказал Миллер.Напомним, ранее государственный секретарь США Энтони Блинкен объявил о введении визовых ограничений в отношении Грузии, которые будут касаться лиц, ответственных за подрыв демократии в стране.
