Ֆորշը մի երգ ունի, որտեղ ասվում է, թե Երեւանը տուն ու շենք չէ, Երեւանը մենք ենք: Ու էս երգը Երեւանի հիմնի նման պտտվում է համաքաղաքային միջոցառումների, մայրաքաղաքին նվիրված տոնակատարությունների ժամանակ:

Իհարկե, հասկանալի է, թե ինչ է նկատի ունեցել հեղինակը եւ ում: Բայց դատելով այն բանից, թե իշխանություններն ինչպիսի հետեւողականությամբ են շարունակում հին Երեւանի՝ մի քանի տարի առաջ ձեռնարկված ոչնչացման գործընթացը, վստահ եմ՝ նրանք երգի բառերն ուղիղ են հասկացել: Երեւանը տուն ու շենք չէ, Երեւանը մե՛նք ենք:

Բայց Երեւանը Երեւան դարձավ, երբ առաջին տունն ու շենքն ունեցավ, չէ՞: Մի քանի օր առաջ Արամի 30 տունն արժանացավ այն տասնյակ հիներեւանյան տների բախտին, որոնցից կա՛մ քարերն են մնացել այս կամ այն կազմակերպության նկուղում, կամ միայն անունը՝ պատմության գրքերում ու մարդկանց հիշողության մեջ: Իշխանությունները, այդ թվում՝ քաղաքային, ստեղծել են հարցերն իրենց պատասխանատվությունից գցելու մի օրիգինալ բանաձեւ, այն է՝ սրա քանդման թույլտվությունը հատկացրել է իմ նախորդը, այս որոշումը կայացվել է դեռ տարիներ առաջ: Եվ բոլոր քաղաքապետերը նման բանաձեւով փորձել են իրենց ազատել մշակութային սպանդի պատասխանատվությունից: Իհարկե, որոշ պատմական շենքերի քանդման թույլտվությունը տվել են Երվանդ Զախարյանը, Կարեն Կարապետյանը, Գագիկ Բեգլարյանը: Բայց դա Տարոն Մարգարյանին չի փրկում պատասխանատվությունից: Որոշներն էլ տվել է հենց Տարոն Մարգարյանը, ինչպես, օրինակ՝ Աֆրիկյանների տան քանդման թույլտվությունը: Եթե դու լավ քաղաքապետ ես, պետք է սրբագրես քո նախորդների սխալը, հանցագործ որոշումը, կանխես քաղաքիդ հնության վկայության ոչնչացումը, փրկես պատմության վկային: Եթե այդպես չես վարվում, ուրեմն կամ վա՛տ քաղաքապետ ես, կա՛մ թույլ, կա՛մ երկուսը միասին:

Եթե 30-40 տարի առաջ նախագծված գաղափարը քո պաշտոնավարման տարիներին իրականացնելով՝ այդ մասին հպարտությամբ թմբկահարում ես էկրաններից, ուրեմն պիտի կարողանաս տարիներ առաջ տրված խայտառակ ու Երեւանին անեծք բերող թույլտվությունները վիճարկելու տղամարդկություն ունենաս: Եթե ի վիճակի չես, ուրեմն կամ վա՛տ քաղաքապետ ես, կա՛մ թույլ: Երեւանը տուն ու շենք չէ, Երեւանը մե՛նք ենք, Երեւանն անկեղծ սիրելը չգրված օրենք է:

Ըստ իշխանությունների՝ չգրված օրենքներով սիրելն այն է, երբ շրջանցում ես գրված օրենքներն ու քո պատկերացրած չգրված օրենքներով՝ Երեւանի պատմական շերտն ու պատմական հիշողությունը որպես մի «թիքա» նվիրում ընկերոջդ, «ախպորդ», «ախպոր ախպորը», որպեսզի նրանք էնտեղ հյուրանոցներ կառուցեն, բարդելներ, փաբ կամ բազմաբնակարան շենք, որտեղ բնակարանամուտ անողները միայն իրենց նման մի քանի «ախպեր» է լինելու: Որովհետեւ բանական մարդը էդ ոչնչացված հիշողության վրա, տներից վռնդված հիներեւանցիների անեծքի ու ողբի հաշվին բնակարանամուտ չի անի:

Հին Երեւանը ոչնչացնում եք, հիշողությունը ջնջում, որ ի՞նչ անեք: Որ ասեք՝ Երեւանը տուն ու շենք չէ, Երեւանը մե՞նք ենք:
