Երուսաղեմի հայ պատրիարք՝ ամենապատիվ Տ․ Նուրհան արքեպիսկոպոս Մանուկյանը դատապարտել է ՀՀ ոստիկանության ամոթալի վարմունքը Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետի նկատմամբ։
«Խոր ցաւով եւ մտահոգութեամբ տեղեկացանք երէկ՝ Հայաստանի Առաջին Հանրապետութեան եւ Սարդարապատի հերոսամարտի 106-ամեակի յիշատակութեան օրը, Հայաստանի Հանրապետութեան ողջ պատմութեան մէջ նախադէպը չունեցող ամօթալի եւ խիստ դատապարտելի իրողութեան մասին:
Սարդարապատի հերոսամարտին, Հայ ժողովրդի համար այդ օրհասական օրերուն զինուորներու, հրամանատարներու, գիւղացիներու, շինականներու եւ մտաւորականներու կողքին մէկ ձեռքով խաչ, միւս ձեռքով զէնք բռնած կը մարտնչէին նաեւ հոգեւորականները: Բախտորոշ այդ օրերուն զինուորական ղեկավարութիւնը կը պահանջէր Ամենայն Հայոց Գէորգ Հինգերորդ Սուրենեանց Կաթողիկոսէն փոխադրուիլ աւելի ապահով վայր, իսկ Արամ Մանուկեան կ’առաջարկէր ապահովութեան համար ձգել Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածինը եւ պատսպարուիլ Սեւան: Անոնք ամէն կերպ կը ջանային ապահովել Հայոց Հայրապետի անվտանգութիւնը, պաշտպանել թշնամիի հնարաւոր յարձակումէն:
Այսօր, 106 տարի անց, Հայաստանի Հանրապետութեան Ոստիկանութիւնը ոչ միայն չապահովէր Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետի անվտանգութիւնը, այլեւ տարապայման, քստմնելի վերաբերմունքի դրսեւորմամբ, քանի մը անգամ պատնէշ կազմելով, քաշկռտելով ՝ փորձ կ’ընէ կանգնեցնել Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետի եւ անոր ուղեկցող հոգեւորականութեան ընթացքը դէպի Սարդապարատի յուշահամալիր:
Յանուն Սրբոց Յակոբեանց Զինուորեալ Միաբանութեան խստագոյնս կը դատապարտենք ՀՀ Ոստիկանութեան ամօթալի եւ անպատուաբեր վարմունքը հանդէպ Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետի: Լիայոյս ենք, որ ՀՀ Ոստիկանութիւնը կը վերանայի իր գործելակերպն ու վերաբերմունքը հանդէպ Հայ Առաքելական Եկղեցւոյ եւ Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետի՝ բացառելով նմանօրինակ միջադէպերու կրկնութիւնը:
Մեր զօրակցութիւնը կը յայտնենք Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետին՝ հայցելով Բարձրեալի օգնականութիւնը եւ մաղթելով «երկար օրեր Հայոց Հօր»:
Հայոց Եկեղեցին մշտապէս եղած է ու պիտի մնայ Հայի գոյութեան, Հայ մշակոյթի պահպանման, Հայոց պետականութեան շէնացման առհաւատչեան, ուստի «Ո՛չ մարդիկ, ո՛չ սուրը, ո՛չ հուրը, ո՛չ ջուրը եւ ոչ ալ որեւէ այլ դառն հարուած…» կրնան խարխլել Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցւոյ հիմերը»,- ասվում է հայտարարությունում։
