ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը պատրաստ է Ուկրաինայի հետ բանակցություններ վարել կրակի դադարեցման շուրջ, եթե վերջինս որպես սահման ճանաչի ռազմաճակատի ներկայիս շփման գիծը, այս մասին Reuters-ին հայտնել են չորս աղբյուրներ։
Գործակալության երկու զրուցակիցների խոսքով՝ Պուտինը կարող է համարել, որ ռուսական բանակը բավական հաջողությունների է հասել մարտական գործողություններն ավարտելու համար: Բացի այդ, ըստ աղբյուրների, նախագահը չի ցանկանում հայտարարել մոբիլիզացիայի նոր ալիքի մասին և կնախընտրեր օգտագործել Ռուսաստանի զարգացման ներկայիս դինամիկան:
Իսկ եթե Կիևն ու Արևմուտքը չարձագանքեն Պուտինին անհրաժեշտ ձևով, ապա նա պատրաստ է շարունակել պայքարը «այնքան, որքան անհրաժեշտ կլինի», ասել են Reuters-ի զրուցակիցները:
ՌԴ նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովը գործակալությանը հայտնել է, որ Պուտինը բազմիցս հասկացրել է, որ Ռուսաստանը բաց է երկխոսության համար և հավելել, որ երկիրը «հավերժական պատերազմ» չի ցանկանում։
