Հռոմի պապ Ֆրանցիսկոս Առաջինը ծրագրում է հաջորդ տարի այցելել Թուրքիա՝ նշելու համար Նիկեայի առաջին տիեզերական ժողովի տարեդարձը: Ըստ Reuters-ի՝ դրա մասին հինգշաբթի հայտնել է աշխարհի ուղղափառ քրիստոնյաների հոգևոր առաջնորդը:
Քրիստոնեության առաջին դարերը նշանավորվել են բուռն բանավեճով՝ ինչպես Հիսուսը կարող էր լինել և՛ Աստված, և՛ մարդ, և Եկեղեցին այդ հարցը կարգավորել է 325 թվականին՝ Նիկեայի առաջին տիեզերական ժողովում:
«Նորին Սրբություն Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապը ցանկանում է միասին նշել այս կարևոր տարեդարձը»,- Պորտուգալիայի մայրաքաղաք Լիսաբոնում կազմակերպված միջոցառման ժամանակ հայտնել է Տիեզերական պատրիարք Բարդուղիմեոսը, որի նստավայրը Ստամբուլում է։
Նա նշել է, որ Ֆրանցիսկոսը մտադիր է այցելել Ստամբուլի Կոստանդնուպոլսի Տիեզերական պատրիարքարան՝ նախքան Նիկեայի առաջին տիեզերական ժողովի քաղաք՝ Իզնիկ մեկնելը։
Տիեզերական պատրիարք Բարդուղիմեոսն ասել է նաև, որ այցը կազմակերպելու համար հանձնաժողով է ստեղծվում, և որ Վատիկանն այս հարցով շուտով կապ կհաստատի թուրքական կառավարության հետ։
Ֆրանցիսկոսը դեկտեմբերին կդառնա 88 տարեկան։ Առողջական վիճակի պատճառով նրա համար գնալով դժվարանում են միջազգային ճանապարհորդությունները։
