Մեկ անգամ չէ, որ նշվել է ՀՀ-ում ՏՏ ոլորտի կարևորության մասին: Սա է պատճառը, որ գործադիր մարմինն իրականացնում է բազմապիսի ծրագրեր այս ոլորտին աջակցելու համար:
Այդպիսի ևս մեկ ծրագիր հաստատվեց հունվարի 20-ին տեղի ունեցած կառավարության նիստի ընթացքում: Տեղեկատվական տեխնոլոգիաների ոլորտի խթանման ծառայությունների 2016թ. ծրագրի ընդունման և իրականացման նպատակն է աջակցել Հայաստանում տեղեկատվական, գիտելիքի վրա հիմնված առաջադեմ հասարակության և զարգացած, համաշխարհային ճանաչում ունեցող տեղեկատվական տեխնոլոգիաների ոլորտի կայացմանը:
Ծրագրի իրագործման արդյունքում, մասնավորապես, ակնկալվում է՝ ՏՏ ոլորտի զարգացման միտումների վերլուծություն ու մարտահրավերների ուսումնասիրություն, ոլորտի նվաճումների ներկայացում, ոլորտի զարգացման խթանման, ներկայացման և առաջմղման համար մեխանիզմների մշակում, ՏՏ ոլորտի վարչական վիճակագրական ռեգիստրի արդյունավետ վարում, ՏՏ ոլորտի մասնագիտական կարողությունների զարգացում, մասնավորապես, հայ-հնդկական ՏՀՏ ուսումնական կենտրոնի բնականոն գործունեության ապահովում, դասընթացների, սեմինարների և այլ միջոցառումների կազմակերպում, «Մայքրոսոֆթ», «ԱյԲիԷմ» և այլ վերազգային ընկերությունների հետ կարողությունների զարգացման և այլ համատեղ ծրագրերի իրականացում:
