Չնայած Հայաստանում առկա քաղաքական իրավիճակին եւ անվտանգության բազմաթիվ սպառնալիքներին, System of a Down խմբի մենակատար Սերժ Թանկյանը լավատեսությամբ է լցված երկրի ապագայի նկատմամբ։
«Ես հավերժ լավատես եմ, քանի որ այդպես էլ պետք է լինի՝ ելնելով իմ մշակույթից: Մենք այնպիսի ողբերգական պատմություն ունենք, որ առանց լավատեսության չես կարող անկողնուց վեր կենալ»,-LA Times-ին տված հարցազրույցում ասել է Թանկյանը։
«Իմ լավատեսության պատճառն այն է, որ Հայաստանն այժմ ունի շատ ուժեղ, աճող տնտեսություն՝ փաստորեն, ՀՆԱ-ի աճի առումով ամենաուժեղներից մեկն ամբողջ Եվրոպայում: 2018 թվականի թավշյա հեղափոխությունը՝ խաղաղ հեղափոխությունը, երկիրն իրոք առաջնորդեց դեպի ավելի թափանցիկ եւ հաշվետու կառավարման։ Սա շատ բան փոխեց եւ աստիճանաբար ձերբազատվեց հետխորհրդային կոռուպցիոն բոլոր քաղաքականություններից։ Խնդիրը 2020 թվականին էր, երբ Ադրբեջանը Թուրքիայի օգնությամբ հարձակվեց Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի եւ Հայաստանի վրա։ Ըստ էության, սա հանգեցրեց ուղեղների արտահոսքի եւ 5000 մարդկանց մահվան՝ երիտասարդների մի ամբողջ սերնդի»,-ասել է նա:
