Արցախյան 44-օրյա պատերազմից և դրան հաջորդած սահմանային փոփոխություններից հետո «Շոռ ջուր» աղբյուրը հայտնվել է սահմանից 1 կմ հեռավորության վրա։ Այս մասին անդրադարձ է կատարել Monument Watch կայքը:
Պատմական Տեղ բնակավայրը հիշատակվում է դեռևս 10-րդ դարից, երբ Սյունյաց Շահանդուխտ թագուհին հիմնում և շենացնում է գյուղը 988 թվականին այն նվիրելով Տաթևի վանքին (Օրբէլեան 1910, 252)։
Բնակավայրի ամենամեծ և հայտնի աղբյուրներից է «Շոռ ջուրը»։ 17-րդ դարով թվագրվող (հուշարձանների ցանկում թվագրված է 15-17-րդ դդ․) աղբյուրը վերանորոգվել է, ինչի վերաբերյալ աղբյուրի դիմահայաց պատի կենտրոնական պատրհանի վերին հատվածում պահպանվել է «1932 թ» արձանագրությունը (նկ․ 2)։ Աղբյուրին վերաբերվող պատմական տեղեկություններ չկան, կառույցի վրա չկան և այլ արձանագրություններ։
Աղբյուրի ջուրը այժմ էլ կարևոր նշանակություն ունի գյուղի համար։ 2021-2022 թվականներին աղբյուրին կից իրականացվել են խմելու ջրի պոմպակայանի կառուցման աշխատանքներ:
