ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի վարչակազմն անցած շաբաթ դադարեցրել է ամերիկյան արտադրության զինամթերքի մատակարարումը Իսրայել, հայտնում է Axios-ը՝ հղում անելով իսրայելական աղբյուրներին։

Ըստ իսրայելցի պաշտոնյաների, այս միջադեպը լուրջ անհանգստություն է առաջացրել Իսրայելի կառավարությունում և ստիպել պաշտոնյաներին խորհել առաքման հետաձգման պատճառների մասին:

Ամերիկյան լրատվամիջոցն ընդգծում է, որ Բայդենը բախվում է ամերիկացիների սուր քննադատությանը, որոնք դեմ են նրա աջակցությանը Իսրայելին։ Փետրվարին վարչակազմը Իսրայելին խնդրել էր երաշխիքներ տրամադրել, որ ամերիկյան արտադրության զենքը Գազայում Իսրայելի պաշտպանության բանակն օգտագործում է միջազգային իրավունքին համապատասխան: Մարտին Իսրայելը տրամադրել էր հավաստիացումներով ստորագրված նամակը։

Նաթանյահուն ակնարկել է Բայդենի վարչակազմի հետ լարվածության մասին կիրակի օրը հրապարակված, Հոլոքոստի հիշատակի օրվա հայտարարության մեջ, նշել է Axios-ը:

«Սարսափելի Հոլոքոստի ժամանակ կային մեծ համաշխարհային առաջնորդներ, որոնք ոչինչ չձեռնարկեցին։ Ուստի, Հոլոքոստի առաջին դասը հետևյալն է. եթե մենք չպաշտպանենք մեզ, ոչ ոք մեզ չի պաշտպանի: Իսկ եթե պետք է մենակ դիմակայենք, ուրեմն մենակ կդիմակայենք»,- ասել է նա։

Անցյալ չորեքշաբթի ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Էնթոնի Բլինքենն այցելել էր Իսրայել և Նաթանյահուի հետ «կոշտ» զրույց ունեցել Ռաֆահում իսրայելական հնարավոր գործողության վերաբերյալ, ասել են հանդիպմանն իրազեկ աղբյուրները:

Բլինքենը Նաթանյահուին ասել է, որ Ռաֆահում «խոշոր ռազմական գործողությունը» կհանգեցնի ԱՄՆ-ի հանրային ընդդիմությանը և բացասաբար կանդրադառնա ամերիկա-իսրայելական հարաբերությունների վրա:

Մեկ օր անց Սպիտակ տան խոսնակ Ջոն Քիրբին լրագրողներին ասաց, որ Իսրայելի առաջնորդները հասկանում են, որ նախագահ Բայդենը «անկեղծ» է, երբ խոսում է Գազայի պատերազմի վերաբերյալ ԱՄՆ քաղաքականության փոփոխության հնարավորության մասին, «եթե նրանք շարունակեն ինչ-որ ցամաքային գործողություն Ռաֆահում, որը հաշվի չի առնի փախստականներին»։
