Գաղտնիք չէ, որ գյուղատնտեսությունը մեր տնտեսության գերակա ճյուղերից է: Ուստի, պետության կողմից աջակցության նպատակով նախատեսված ծրագրերից զատ, շատ կարևոր է նաև միջազգային համագործակցությունը:
Այս օրերին Հայաստանում է գտնվում Գյուղատնտեսության զարգացման միջազգային հիմնադրամի (IFAD) պատվիրակությունը, որի կազմում են Մերձավոր Արևելքի, Կենտրոնական Ասիայի, Հյուսիսային Աֆրիկայի և Եվրոպայի բաժնի տնօրեն Խալիդա Բուզարը, ԳԶՄՀ Հայաստանի ծրագրերի ղեկավար Պատրիկ Հերլանտը և այլոք:
Պատվիրակությունը Երևան է ժամանել «Ենթակառուցվածքների և գյուղական ֆինանսավորման աջակցության ծրագրի» մեկնարկի կապակցությամբ:
IFAD-ը Հայաստանում իրականացրել է մի շարք ծրագրեր, որոնք ունեցել են դրական արդյունք: Այժմ քննարկման փուլում են պտուղ-բանջարեղենի, մսի և կաթի վերամշակման արտադրամասերի, սառնարանային տնտեսությունների, չորանոցների կառուցման, ինչպես նաև գյուղմթերքի շուկայահանման հարցերը:
Ոչ պակաս կարևոր է նաև տեղեկատվական փորձը: IFAD-ի կողմից Հայաստան կգործուղվի մասնագետների փորձագիտական խումբ, որը մեր մասնագետների հետ կմշակի գյուղատնտեսական ոլորտի զարգացման ծրագրեր, որոնք և կներկայացվեն հիմնադրամին:
