ԱՄՆ կոնգրեսականին մեղադրանք է առաջադրվել կաշառքի դիմաց Ադրբեջանի շահերը սպասարկելու համար

ԱՄՆ արդարադատության նախարարությունը հայտարարել է Թեխաս նահանգից Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի անդամ, դեմոկրատ Հենրի Կուելյարին և նրա կնոջը կաշառակերության մեղադրանքներ ներկայացնելու մասին:
Ըստ մեղադրանքների՝ Կուելյարը կասկածվում է մոտ 600 հազար դոլար կաշառք ստանալու և այդ միջոցները «լվանալու» համար։
Ենթադրվում է, որ քաղաքական գործիչը միջոցները ստացել է 2014 թվականի դեկտեմբերից մինչև 2021 թվականի նոյեմբեր Ադրբեջանի պետական նավթագազային ընկերությունից և Մեքսիկական բանկից, ապա կնքել խորհրդատվական ծառայությունների մատուցման կեղծ պայմանագրեր իր կնոջը՝ Իմելդա Կուելյարին պատկանող կեղծ ընկերությունների միջոցով:
«Ադրբեջանական նավթագազային ընկերության վճարած գումարների դիմաց կոնգրեսական Կուելյարը, ենթադրաբար, համաձայնել է օգտագործել իր պաշտոնը ԱՄՆ արտաքին քաղաքականության վրա Ադրբեջանի օգտին ազդելու համար»,- ասված է ԱՄՆ արդարադատության նախարարության հայտարարության մեջ:
Կոնգրեսականին և նրա կնոջը մեղավոր ճանաչելու դեպքում նրանց սպառնում է տասնյակ տարիների ազատազրկում:
