ԱՄՆ-ում սկանդալ է ծագել ադրբեջանամետ կոնգրեսականի հետ

Միացյալ նահանգներում կոռուպցիոն հերթական սկանդալն է ծագել, որը կապված է Ադրբեջանի հետ։ ԱՄՆ արդարադատության նախարարությունը մեղադրանքներ է առաջադրել դեմոկրատ կոնգրեսական Կուելյարին և նրա կնոջը՝ Իմելդային, Ադրբեջանի նավթագազային ընկերությունից և մեքսիկական բանկերից մեկից կաշառք ստանալու համար։
Մասնավորապես հաջողվել է պարզել, որ 2014-ից 2021 թվականները կոնգրեսականն ու իր կինը 600 հազար ԱՄՆ դոլար կաշառք են ստացել Ադրբեջանի պետական նավթագազային «Սոկար» ընկերությունից, որն ամբողջությամբ գտնվում է Ալիևի վերահսկողության ներքո։
Կուելյարի դեմ այս քննությունն առաջինը չէ. դեռևս 2022 թվականին հետաքննությունների դաշնային բյուրոն խուզարկել էր նրա տունն ու նախընտրական գրասենյակը։ Կուելյարը Կոնգրեսում Ադրբեջանի հետ բարեկամության խմբի համանախագահն է և բազմիցս հանդիպել է ադրբեջանցի պաշտոնյաների, այդ թվում` Ադրբեջանի դեսպանի հետ։ Մի քանի անգամ էլ հակահայկական բովանդակության նախագծեր է փորձել ներկայացնել, որոնք ձախողվել են հայամետ կոնգրեսականների ջանքերով, այժմ էլ պարզվում է, որ Կուելյարը հակաօրինական գործողություններ է արել, Ադրբեջանի շահերի վճարովի լոբբինգով զբաղվել և դրա դիմաց հսկայական միջոցներ ստացել Ադրբեջանի բռնապետից։ Թե ի՞նչ ընթացք կունենա այս դատաքննությունը, բարդ է ասել։
ԱՄՆ-ում չափազանց դժվար է ազատազրկել նման բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյայի, բայց արդարադատության նախարարությունը հայտնել է, որ բոլոր ապացույցներն ունի ադրբեջանամետ կոնգրեսականին պատասխանատվության ենթարկելու համար։
