Руководитель группы дружбы Армения-США Национального собрания Республики Армения, руководитель парламентской фракции «Гражданский договор» Айк Конджорян и члены группы дружбы Саркис Ханданян, Арман Егоян, Цовинар Варданян, Арсен Торосян и чрезвычайный и полномочный посол РА в США Лилит Макунц в Вашингтоне встретились с директором по делам Европы в Совете национальной безопасности Майклом Карпентером. 

Cо ссылкой на сообщение Национального собрания Армении, Майкл Карпентер подтвердил поддержку Соединенных Штатов территориальной целостности и суверенитету Армении и приветствовал процесс демаркации границы между Арменией и Азербайджаном, проводимый на основе Алматинской декларации. 

Армянские депутаты подчеркнули важность встречи на высоком уровне Армения-США-ЕС, состоявшейся 5 апреля в Брюсселе, приветствуя активное участие США и Европейского Союза в укреплении устойчивости Армении и экономической диверсификации. 

Обсуждался проект «Перекресток мира», который может стать важной составляющей как регионального, так и более широкого экономического сотрудничества, способствуя миру и процветанию региона. 

Майкл Карпентер приветствовал шаги, направленные на укрепление демократии в Армении, отметив, что Соединенные Штаты поддерживают Армению в ее демократическом развитии и укреплении суверенитета.
