ՀՀ մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպան Անահիտ Մանասյանի շնորհավորական ուղերձ է հղել Մամուլի ազատության համաշխարհային օրվա առթիվ:
 
 «Lրատվական համայնքի սիրելի´ ներկայացուցիչներ, շնորհավորում եմ Ձեզ մասնագիտական տոնի՝ Մամուլի ազատության համաշխարհային օրվա առթիվ:
 
Այս օրը ևս մեկ առիթ է խոսելու Ձեր բարդ ու պատասխանատու աշխատանքի մասին, ընդգծելու Ձեր աշխատանքի կարևորությունը։
 
Զանգվածային լրատվության միջոցներն առանցքային դերակատարություն ունեն իրավունքի գերակայության արժեքներով առաջնորդվող ժողովրդավարական պետության կայացման տեսանկյունից։ Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի 2023 թվականի գործունեության տարեկան հաղորդման մեջ հատուկ ընդգծել եմ լրատվական համայնքի ներկայացուցիչների անխոչընդոտ գործունեության կարևորությունը, ինչի մասին է վկայում ԶԼՄ-ների և լրագրողների հետ Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի ակտիվ համագործակցությունը։
 
Պետք է արձանագրեմ, որ մեր երկրում մամուլի ազատության ապահովման ոլորտում շարունակում են արդիական մնալ որոշ մարտահրավերներ։ Խնդրահարույց է լրագրողների թիրախավորման, նրանց մասնագիտական գործունեությունը խոչընդոտելու առանձին դեպքերի առկայությունը։ Այս առումով կարևոր է մամուլի ազատության երաշխավորման ուղղությամբ այնպիսի քայլերի ձեռնարկումը, որոնք կապահովեն բնականոն լրատվական գործունեության համար լիովին բարենպաստ միջավայրի առկայությունը և լրագրողների անվտանգությունը։
Ցանկանում եմ հատուկ ընդգծել, որ Լրագրողների մասնագիտական իրավաչափ գործունեությանը խոչընդոտելու ցանկացած դեպք անթույլատրելի է և խիստ մտահոգիչ։ Կարևոր է, որպեսզի պետությունը մշակի և գործարկի այնպիսի կառուցակարգեր, որոնք կերաշխավորեն բնականոն լրատվական գործունեության համար լիովին բարենպաստ միջավայրի առկայությունը և լրագրողների անվտանգությունը։ Ընդ որում՝ նշված կառուցակարգերը պետք է ուղղված լինեն ինչպես լրագրողների իրավաչափ գործունեությանը չխոչընդոտելուն, այնպես էլ նման խոչընդոտները կանխարգելելուն, դրանց առկայության պարագայում՝ վերացնելուն, դեպքերի առնչությամբ արդյունավետ քննություն իրականացնելուն, այդ թվում՝ պատասխանատվության անխուսափելիությունը երաշխավորելուն։
 
Պակաս կարևոր չէ մասնագիտական լրատվական գործունեության իրականացումը բացառապես էթիկայի կանոնների, «պատասխանատու լրագրության» սկզբունքների պահպանման և լրագրողների գործունեության արդյունքում ատելության խոսքի բացառման համատեքստում։
Որպես Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպան՝ իմ մանդատի շրջանակում պատրաստ եմ անել առավելագույնը՝ պաշտպանելու Ձեր ազատ և անխոչընդոտ աշխատանքը։
 
Եվս մեկ անգամ շնորհավորելով տոնի առթիվ՝ մաղթում եմ Ձեզ արդյունավետ և ստեղծագործ աշխատանք»:
