«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
ՀՀ տարածքային կառավարման և ենթակառուցվածքների նախարարի տեղակալ Հակոբ Վարդանյանն օրերս հայտարարել է, թե Հայաստանում նոր ատոմակայանի կառուցման տեխնիկատնտեսական ուսումնասիրություններին ներգրավված են նաև ամերիկյան կազմակերպություններ: Վարդանյանը միևնույն ժամանակ նշել էր, թե «Հայաստանի Հանրապետության և Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության համագործակցությունը կրում է շարունակական բնույթ և ներկայում ընթանում է էներգետիկայի բնագավառի մի շարք ուղղություններով»:
Այսուամենայնիվ, այստեղ կա մի քանի խնդիր: Նախ, ըստ փորձագետների, խոսքը, այսպես կոչված, «փոքր ԱԷԿ»-ի մասին է, որը, սակայն, մինչ այժմ աշխարհում կարողացել են կառուցել միայն Ռուսաստանը և Չինաստանը:
Այստեղ հիմնական պատճառաբանությունը էներգետիկ անկախության ավելացումն է, քանի որ ներկայում Հայաստանում այն ընդամենը 27 տոկոս է: Սակայն էլեկտրաէներգիայի արտադրության ծավալները նույնիսկ հպանցիկ ուսումնասիրելիս պարզ է դառնում, որ այստեղ առանձնապես խնդիրներ չկան, իսկ էլեկտրաէներգիայի մեծ մասն ապահովում են Մեծամորի ատոմակայանն ու ՋԷԿ-երը: Ճիշտ է, անցած տարի վերականգնվող էներգիայի ծավալը 2022-ի համեմատ զգալի ավելացել է, բայց դեռ շատ հեռու է ավանդական էներգիայի հետ մրցակցելուց: Ինչ վերաբերում է նվազ հզորությամբ ատոմակայան կառուցելու միջոցով էներգետիկ անկախություն ձեռք բերելու հնարավորությանը, ապա մասնագետները դա համարում են անլուրջ, քանի որ նախ և առաջ պետք է ինչ-որ տեղից բերել վառելիքը, դեռ չենք խոսում այն մասին, որ ով վճարում է, նա էլ, ի վերջո, թելադրում է «երաժշտությունը»:
Հավելենք, որ դեռ անցած տարի ամռանն էր հայտնի դարձել, որ Միացյալ Նահանգների մասնագետների հետ քննարկումներ են ընթանում Հայաստանում մոդուլային ռեակտորների կառուցման շուրջ։ «Մի շարք երկրներում, այդ թվում՝ Հայաստանում, մենք ամերիկյան տեխնոլոգիայով կառուցվող փոքր մոդուլային միջուկային ռեակտորների իրագործելիության գնահատում ենք անում, ինչը կարող է նպաստել ինչպես Ռուսաստանից, այնպես էլ Չինաստանից էներգետիկ անկախությանը»,- Կոնգրեսում հայտարարել էր Միացյալ Նահանգների պետդեպարտամենտի պաշտոնյա Մարիա Լոնգին։
