В Дубае выделят почти $35 млрд на проект по расширению аэропорта Аль-Мактум

Власти Дубая выделят 128 млрд дирхамов ($34,8 млрд) на строительство нового пассажирского терминала в международном аэропорту Аль-Мактум, расположенном в южной части города. Об этом заявил правитель Дубая, премьер-министр ОАЭ шейх Мухаммед бен Рашид Аль Мактум.
«Сегодня мы утвердили проект нового пассажирского терминала международного аэропорта Аль-Мактум и распорядились начать строительство здания стоимостью 128 млрд дирхамов в рамках стратегии, разработанной Дубайской авиационной корпорацией», - написал премьер-министр ОАЭ в X.
По его словам, аэропорт станет одним из крупнейших в мире с пропускной способностью более 260 млн пассажиров в год. Предполагается, что обновленный транспортный хаб, который сможет вмещать 400 воздушных судов, будет оснащен пятью параллельными взлетно-посадочными полосами.
«Он будет в пять раз больше нынешнего Международного аэропорта Дубая. В ближайшие годы в него будут перенесены все операции Международного аэропорта Дубая», - отмечается в сообщении.
Основным авиационным узлом эмирата является Международный аэропорт Дубая, где базируется авиакомпания Emirates. По итогам 2023 года аэропорт обслужил 87 млн пассажиров, более 416 тыс. рейсов и 1,81 млн тонн грузов.
