ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Էնթոնի Բլինկենը, մեկնաբանելով Չինաստանի աջակցությունը Ռուսաստանի Դաշնությանը, ասել է, որ եթե Պեկինը միջոցներ չձեռնարկի «այս խնդիրը լուծելու համար», դա կանի Վաշինգտոնը։
Պեկինում մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ նա նշել է, որ Չինաստանը չի կարող բարելավել հարաբերությունները Եվրոպայի հետ՝ միաժամանակ աջակցելով Ռուսաստանին։ Այս մասին գրում է ՌԻԱ «Նովոստի»-ն:
«Անդրատլանտյան անվտանգության ապահովումն ԱՄՆ-ի հիմնական շահն է: Այսօրվա մեր քննարկումներում ես հասկացրեցի, որ եթե Չինաստանը չլուծի այս խնդիրը, մենք կլուծենք»,- ասել է Բլինկենը:
Նա ընդգծել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն պատրաստ է նոր միջոցներ ձեռնարկել և պատժամիջոցներ կիրառել Չինաստանի դեմ՝ Ուկրաինայում ստեղծված իրավիճակի ֆոնին։
«Մենք ԱՄՆ կողմից արդեն պատժամիջոցներ ենք սահմանել չինական ավելի քան 100 կազմակերպության դեմ: Եվ մենք լիովին պատրաստ ենք գործելու, նոր միջոցներ ձեռնարկելու, ես դա պարզ եմ հասկացրել եմ այսօրվա հանդիպումներում»,- ասել է Բլինկենը մամուլի ասուլիսում՝ խոսելով Ռուսաստանին Չինաստանի ենթադրյալ աջակցության մասին։
ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարը նաև ասել է, որ Չինաստանում հանդիպումների ժամանակ նա լուրջ մտահոգություններ է հայտնել Պեկինի կողմից Մոսկվա երկակի նշանակության բաղադրիչների և ապրանքների ենթադրյալ փոխանցման վերաբերյալ, որոնք, իբր, կարող են օգնել ռուսական ռազմարդյունաբերական համալիրին։ Նրա կարծիքով՝ Ռուսաստանի համար դժվար կլինի շարունակել ռազմական գործողությունն Ուկրաինայում առանց Չինաստանի օգնության։
Ավելի վաղ Wall Street Journal-ը, հղում անելով աղբյուրներին, հայտնել էր, որ ԱՄՆ-ն ֆինանսական պատժամիջոցներ է մշակում չինական որոշ բանկերի դեմ, որպեսզի ստիպի Պեկինին խզել առևտրային հարաբերությունները Ռուսաստանի հետ՝ մտավախություն ունենալով, որ Չինաստանի հետ առևտուրը ուժեղացրել է ռուսական ռազմական արտադրությունը։
