Ապրիլը մեր երկրում ամենատեղումնառատ ամիսներից մեկն է։ Մթնոլրտի շրջանառության մեջ գերակշռում են արևմուտքից, հարավ-արևմուտքից, երբեմն նաև հարավից ներթափանցող ցիկլոնները, որոնք իրենց հետ բերում են առատ տեղումներ։

Ակտիվ են նաև տաք և ցուտ օդային հոսանքների շրջանառությունը։ Հատկապես ապրիլի առաջին տասնօրյակում, մեր երկիր կարող են ներթափանցել արկտիկական ցուրտ օդային հոսանքներ, որոնք իրենց հետ բերում են ջերմաստիճանի կտրուկ անկում, լեռնային և նախալեռնային գոտիներում ձյան տեսքով տեղումներ։   

Ապրիլին տեղումների միջին քանակը կազմում է 77մմ, որը տարեկան տեղումների 12%-ն է: Տեղումների առավելագույն քանակը գրանցվում է  լեռնային շրջաններում  մինչև 100մմ, համեմատաբար քիչ տեղումներ գրանցվում են Արարատյան դաշտում` 30-50մմ:  Ընդ որում այդ քանակը ամսվա ընթացքում բաշխվում է հավասարաչափ:

Տեղումներով օրերի թիվը կազմում է 10-15 օր: Բարձր լեռնային շրջաններում տեղումները դիտվում են ձյան կամ թաց ձյան տեսքով:

Ամենատեղումնառատ ապրիլները դիտվել են 1963, 1978, 1984, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2020թթ.-ին, երբ տեղումների քանակը կազմել է ամսական նորմայի կրկնապատիկը և եռապատիկը։

Չորային են եղել 1943, 1950, 1970, 1983, 2008, 2012թթ․-ը, երբ հանրապետության առանձին հատվածներում  տեղումները կազմել է ամսական նորմայի 5-10 տոկոսը:

Ինչ վերաբերում է 2024 թվականի ապրիլին, ապա ապրիլի 16-ից սկսած հանրապետության տարածքում մթնոլորտի շրջանառությունը կտրուկ փոխվել է։ Ցիկլոնային գործունեությունը աստիճանաբար թուլացել է, փոխարենը կտրուկ ակտիվացել է Արաբական թերակղզուց արևադարձային տաք օդային հոսանքների ներթափանցումը, ինչի արդյունքում Հայաստանի ամբողջ տարածքում հաստատվել է տարվա այս ժամանակահատվածի համար մոտ 6-10 աստիճանով նորմայից  բարձր ջերմային ֆոնով և սակավ տեղումներով եղանակ։

Ապրիլի 17-22-ին հանրապետության մի շարք շրջաններում ցերեկային ժամերին գրանցված առավելագույն ջերմաստիճանները գերազանցել են երբևիցե դիտված պատմական արժեքները։

Առաջիկա 7 օրերին օդերևութաբանական իրադրության փոփոխություններ չեն կանխատեսվում՝ սպասվում է առանց տեղումների եղանակ, ավելին օդի ջերմաստիճանը ապրիլի 25-29-ին կշարունակի բարձրանալ ևս 4-6 աստիճանով։
