ՀՀ ԱԳՆ հայտարարությունը Հայոց ցեղասպանության 109-րդ տարելիցի կապակցությամբ.
«Ապրիլի 24-ին մենք ոգեկոչում ենք և գլուխ ենք խոնարհում 20-րդ դարի սկզբին Օսմանյան կայսրությունում իրագործված Հայոց ցեղասպանության նահատակների հիշատակի առջև:
1915 թվականից սկսած՝ երիտթուրքական կառավարության իրականացրած մարդկության դեմ հանցագործության հետևանքով շուրջ 1,5 միլիոն հայ, այդ թվում՝ երեխաներ, կանայք և ծերեր, սպանվեցին միայն իրենց ազգային պատկանելիության՝ հայ լինելու հիմքով: Միլիոնավոր հայեր զրկվեցին իրենց սեփականությունից և պատմամշակութային ու հոգևոր նյութական արժեքներից:
Հայության դեմ իրականացված այս ոճրագործությունը հետագայում հիմք դարձավ «Ցեղասպանության հանցագործությունը կանխարգելելու և պատժելու մասին» միջազգային կոնվենցիայի սահմանման համար։ Ցավալիորեն, չնայած գործադրվող ջանքերին, ցեղասպանության շարունակական վտանգն աշխարհում դեռ առկա է։
Արդեն 21-րդ դարում՝ 2020-2023թթ., մենք ականատես եղանք հերթական էթնիկ զտման քաղաքականության ու դրա հետևանքներին. 150 հազարից ավել հայ պատերազմի, այլատյացության, ինքնության հիման վրա հանցագործությունների, պաշարման և բնակչության նկատմամբ ահաբեկման հետևողական գործողությունների հետևանքով բռնի տեղահանվեց և ստիպված եղավ լքել իր պատմական հայրենիքը։
Հաշվի առնելով ժամանակակից աշխարհում ցեղասպանության ռիսկերն ու արձանագրվող դեպքերը, մարդու իրավունքների և միջազգային մարդասիրական իրավունքի կոպիտ խախտումների բազմաթիվ այլ օրինակները՝ Հայաստանը միջազգային հարթակներում շարունակում է ակտիվ ներգրավածությունը ցեղասպանության հանցագործության դեմ պայքարում ջանքերի համադրման, նոր ցեղասպանությունների և մարդկության դեմ հանցագործությունների կանխարգելման և զոհերի իրավունքների պաշտպանության նպատակով»:
