Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանն Իրաքից վերադառնալիս անդրադարձել է հայ-թուրքական հարաբերություններին և այդ համատեքստում խոսել Հայոց Ցեղասպանության մասին, գրում է Ermenihaber-ը։

Էրդողանը մասնավորապես նշել է. «Տարածաշրջանում արդեն նոր կարգ է ստեղծվում։ Անհիմն անգիրները մի անկյունում թողնելու ժամանակը եկել և անցնում է։ Ժամանակի իրողություններով գործելը, իրականության հետ կապ չունեցող հորինված պատմական պատմվածքներով  գործելուց միշտ ավելի լավ է։ Այս պահին Փաշինյանը ևս դա հասկանում է»։

Ըստ Էրդողանի՝ պատմական գործընթացում ինչ եղել ու ավարտվել է, նախ և առաջ պատմաբաններն են քննում։ Նա պնդել է, թե իրենք այդ հարցում ի սկզբանե շատ բաց են գործել և ասել, որ կարող են բացել իրենց արխիվներն ու բացել են։ Էրդողանի համոզմամբ, հիմա իրատեսական հողի վրա նոր ճանապարհային քարտեզներ ձևավորելու ժամանակն է։

«Հուսով եմ՝ Հայաստանը, ազատվելով այն խավարից, որում իրեն գերի է դարձրել սփյուռքը, լուսավոր վաղվա համար նոր սկիզբ դնելու ճանապարհը կընտրի։ Հնարավորության դռները հավերժ չեն կարող բաց մնալ։ Քանի դեռ բաց է, այն պետք է լավ գնահատել»,-սպառնացել է Էրդողանը։ 

«Միայն սփյուռքը չէ, բազմաթիվ հրահրիչներ այս գործընթացում ջանում են ազդել Հայաստանի վրա, ինչպես դուք ևս հետևում եք։ Դա գիտակցում ենք։ Ժամանակ առ ժամանակ մենք ևս մեր զգուշացումներն արել ենք։ Հուսով եմ՝ Հայաստանը ճիշտ ճանապարհը կընտրի, և նոր ժամանակաշրջան կսկսվի»,-հայտարարել է Էրդողանը։
