Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև սահմանազատման գործընթացը Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը վերածել է մի քանի գյուղի սահմանազատման անհասկանալի գործընթացի՝ մոռանալով Ադրբեջանի հետ խաղաղության պայմանագիր կնքելու առաջնային կարևորությունը։
Առանց հայ-ադրբեջանական բոլոր հարցերը կարգավորող ամբողջական պայմանագրի առկայության՝ իշխանությունները շարունակում են հատվածական հարցերի քննարկումները, որոնք հանգեցնում են բացառապես միակողմանի զիջումների։
Այս նույն քաղաքականության հետևանքով ամբողջովին հայաթափվեց Արցախը, Հայաստանի բազմաթիվ հատվածներում առկա են Ադրբեջանի ժամանակավոր տիրապետության տակ գտնվող տարածքներ, և շարունակում է խոցելի մնալ Հայաստանի անվտանգությունը՝ բարձր պահելով ռազմական էսկալացիայի վտանգը։

Ցանկացած զիջում միայն մեծացնում է Ադրբեջանի հակահայկական նկրտումները, և որևէ հատվածական գործընթաց չի կանգնեցնում և չի կանգնեցնելու Ադրբեջանի հակաօրինական պահանջներն ուղղված Հայաստանին։
