Հայաստանի վարչապետի պաշտոնը զբաղեցնող ու հերթական հակառուսական քայլը մտմտացող Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ինքն է հայտարարել, որ առայժմ որոշում չունի մասնակցելու մայիսին Մոսկվայում կայանալիք նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի երդմնակալության արարողությանը։

Հայկական կողմը նաև որոշում չունի ԵԱՏՄ հոբելյանական գագաթնաժողովին մասնակցելու վերաբերյալ։ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը երեկ լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշել է, որ այդ որոշման կայացումը կախված է տարբեր ու բազմաթիվ հանգամանքներից, որոնցից գլխավորն, ըստ ամենայնի, Արևմուտքի ճնշումն է։

Փաշինյանին պարտադրում են ամեն գնով խզել կապերը Ռուսաստանի հետ, մյուս կողմից՝ հայկական կողմի այս վարքագիծն անհասկանալի է իր իսկ տրամաբանության մեջ։ Ի սկզբանե դժգոհություններ հայտնելով Հավաքական անվտանգության պայմանագրի կազմակերպությունից, ապա և ԱՊՀ կառույցներից, Փաշինյանը հայտարարել է, որ այս առումով խնդիր չեն տեսնում, լիուլի օգտվում են ԵԱՏՄ-ի ընձեռած բարիքներից, առավել ևս , որ ԵԱՏՄ-ն այժմ նախագահում է հենց Հայաստանը, ուստի այդ գագաթնաժողովին չմեկնելն այլևս որևէ տրամաբանական բացատրություն ունենալ չի կարող։

Ինչ վերաբերում է ՌԴ նախագահի երդմնակալության արարողությանը, այս միջոցառումը բաց թողելն արդեն թշնամության բարձրագույն աստիճան կլինի Հայաստանի իշխանությունների կողմից։

Ի վերջո, չի բացառվում, որ ինչպես անցած տարվա դեկտեմբերի վերջին մեկնեց Սանկտ Պետերբուրգ՝ ԱՊՀ ոչ պաշտոնական համաժողովին և ԵԱՏՄ գագաթնաժողովին, Փաշինյանը վերջին պահին մեկնելու որոշում կայացնի: Այդ դեպքում արդեն Փաշինյանն ինքը պետք է հաշիվները պարզի արևմտյան հովանավորների հետ՝ նրանց փորձելով համոզել, որ դա ճիշտ քայլ էր։
