Նիդերլանդների ոստիկանությունը ձերբակալել է շվեդ էկոակտիվիստ Գրետա Թունբերգին Հաագայում չարտոնված բողոքի ակցիայի ժամանակ: Այս մասին հայտնում է NOS հեռուստաալիքը։
«Extinction Rebellion» կազմակերպության ցուցարարները ծրագրում էին փակել A12 մայրուղին, որը կապում է Նիդերլանդների քաղաքական մայրաքաղաքը այլ խոշոր քաղաքների հետ, այդ թվում՝ Ամստերդամի, Ռոտերդամի և Ուտրեխտի։ Ոստիկանները կանգնեցրել են մի քանի հարյուր ակտիվիստների, երբ վերջիններս փորձել են փակել A12 մայրուղին:
Այնուհետեւ ցուցարարներն սկսել են փակել մերձակա ճանապարհները, ինչին ի պատասխան՝ իրավապահներն սկսել են բերման ենթարկել ցուցարարներին։ Նրանց թվում է եղել նաև Թունբերգը։
