Պաշտոնական Բաքուն եվրոպական երկրներին՝ մասնավորապես Ֆրանսիային կոչ է արել հետևել Հարավային Կովկասում գործընթացների գնահատման, հայ-ադրբեջանական խաղաղ բանակցությունների հարցում Իտալիայի որդեգրած քաղաքականությանը։
Ադրբեջանի ԱԳՆ-ի խոսնակ Այխան Հաջիզադեն պնդել է՝ Իտալիայի փոխարտգործնախարարի հայտարարությունը վկայում է, թե որքան «կարևոր է երկրների ներքին գործերին չմիջամտելն ու անպատասխանատու մոտեցումը կանխելը այնպիսի զգայուն հարցի նկատմամբ, ինչպիսին է Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի միջև խաղաղ գործընթացն ու կարգավորումը»։
«Դա նաև ապացուցում է, թե որքան անհիմն և անարդյունավետ են Ֆրանսիայի նման երկրների կողմից իրականացվող ապակառուցողական քաղաքականությունը։ Մենք կարծում ենք, որ Իտալիայի վարած քաղաքականությունը պետք է օրինակ ծառայի որոշ եվրոպական երկրների, հատկապես Ֆրանսիայի համար», - ընդգծել է Հաջիզադեն։
Իտալիայի փոխարտգործնախարարը քննադատել էր Ֆրանսիայի ԱԳ նախարարի հայտարարություններն այն մասին, թե Ադրբեջանը կասկածի տակ է դնում Հայաստանի տարածքային ամբողջականությունը, պնդելով՝ Սեժուրնեի հայտարարությունը չի նպաստում տարածաշրջանում տրամադրությունը հանգստացնելուն:
