Ռոբերտ Դաունի կրտսերը խաղում է չորս տարբեր կերպարներ HBO-ի նոր սերիալում՝ The Sympathizer-ում («Ցավակցողը»): Գալիք սերիալի պաշտոնական թրեյլերում 58-ամյա դերասանը բոլորովին անճանաչելի տեսք ունի։
Թրեյլերը սկսվում է նրանով, որ Դաունի կրտսերը «Կապիտան» Հոա Սյուանդեին ասում է. «Բարի գալուստ լրտեսության աշխարհ»: Խուանդեն, ում կերպարն իրեն բնութագրում է որպես «անհամատեղելիությունների սինթեզ», օգտագործում է իր հմտությունները՝ լրտես դառնալու համար։ Դաունին խաղում է իր կառավարչի դերը: Ավելի ուշ թրեյլերում բացահայտվում է, որ «Նավապետը», որն աշխատում է ԿՀՎ-ում և Վիետկոնգում, կարող է կրկնակի գործակալ լինել։
