Пять стран ЕС призывают Брюссель запретить импорт российского и белорусского зерна

Литва, Латвия, Эстония, Польша и Чехия призывает Европейскую комиссию (ЕК) запретить импорт зерна из России и Белоруссии в ЕС. «Арменпресс» передает об этом, со ссылкой на сообщение агентства «Интерфакс».
Отмечается, что призыв министров сельского хозяйства пяти стран инициировала Литва.
«Мы просим ЕК проанализировать возможности ограничения импорта в ЕС продуктов питания, происходящих из России и Беларуси. Совместным обращением мы стремимся решить насущную проблему, которая нас объединяет», - заявил министр сельского хозяйства Литвы Кястутис Навицкас.
Министры утверждают, что военные действия на Украине финансируются за счет доходов России от экспорта зерна в ЕС. Кроме того, по их оценке, российское зерно оказывает давление на внутренний рынок ЕС и напрямую конкурирует с продукцией фермеров ЕС.
По словам Навицкаса, в 2023 году ЕС импортировал 1,53 млн тонн российского зерна на сумму 437,5 млн евро.
Совет министров сельского хозяйства и рыболовства ЕС обсудит это предложение 26 марта.
