Госсекретарь США Энтони Блинкен заявил, что Вашингтон поддерживает контакты с правящим в Нигере Национальным советом по защите отечества и ведет консультации по дальнейшим действиям после того, как представитель военного переходного правительства Амаду Абдрамана заявил о разрыве военного соглашения. Об этом сообщает РИА Новости.

«Мы поддерживаем контакт с Национальным советом по защите отечества, обсуждаем с ним дальнейшие действия», — заявил Блинкен, отвечая на соответствующий вопрос о разрыве соглашения.

Ранее официальный представитель военного переходного правительства Нигера Амаду Абдрамана сообщил, что военные страны разорвали военное соглашение с США.

По его словам, правящая военная хунта Нигера отменила военное соглашение с Соединенными Штатами, разрешавшее американским военнослужащим и гражданскому персоналу Пентагона находиться на территории страны.

Решению разорвать военное соглашение предшествовал визит в Нигер делегации официальных лиц США, которую возглавляла помощник государственного секретаря по делам Африки Молли Фи. В состав делегации входил начальник Африканского командования США генерал Майкл Лэнгли. Официальный представитель военного переходного правительства Нигера Амаду Абдрамана заявил, что они не соблюдали дипломатический протокол.
