 Իրանական հրթիռային ծրագրի նկատմամբ սահմանված ԱՄՆ-ի պատժամիջոցները զուրկ են միջազգային իրավական հիմքից: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, Իրանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Մոհամադ Ջավադ Զարիֆը հայտարարել Է հարցազրույցում, որը հունվարի 19-ին տարածել Է Press-TV հեռուստաալիքը:

«Այն դեպքում, երբ ՄԱԿ-ի ԱԽ-ի 1929 բանաձեւը Իրանին արգելում Էր իրականացնել ցանկացած հրթիռային գործունեություն, հաջորդ 2231 բանաձեւը սահմանափակվում Է այն հրթիռների արգելքով, որոնք կարող են կրել միջուկային մարտագլխիկներ: Սակայն մենք սկզբունքորեն միջուկային մարտալիցքեր կրելու ընդունակ հրթիռների կարիք չունենք»,-պարզաբանել Է իրանցի նախարարը:

«Այսպիսով, ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից ձեռնարկված միջոցները միջազգային իրավական հիմք չունեն: Եվ, նախագահ Հասան Ռոուհանիի հրահանգին համապատասխան՝ մենք կշարունակենք մեր հրթիռային ծրագիրը, որը նպատակամղված Է զսպմանը»,-հավելել Է Իրանի գլխավոր դիվանագետը:    

Զարիֆի խոսքով՝ Իրանը «համամասնորեն» կհակազդի Թեհրանի հրթիռային ծրագրի նկատմամբ ԱՄՆ-ի նոր պատժամիջոցներին: «Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության դեմ ձեռնարկված ոչ մի միջոց անպատասխան չի մնա»,-ընդգծել Է Իրանի ԱԳ նախարարը:

Հոկտեմբերին Իրանը հեռահար գործողության շառավղով «Իմադ» բալիստիկ հրթիռի փորձարկում Է անցկացրել: Իրանի զինվորական ղեկավարությունը քանիցս հայտարարել Է, որ «Իմադ» հրթիռը նախատեսված չԷ միջուկային մարտալիցք փոխադրելու համար:

Հունվարի 17-ին ԱՄՆ-ը պատժամիջոցներ Է սահմանել Իրանի եւ Չինաստանի մի շարք անձանց ու ընկերությունների նկատմամբ, ինչպես նաեւ Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրությունների այն  կազմակերպությունների նկատմամբ, որոնք առնչություն ունեն բալիստիկ հրթիռների մշակման գծով Իրանի ծրագրի հետ, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
