Թուրքիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Հաքան Ֆիդանի և ԱՄՆ ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով խորհրդական Ջեյք Սալիվանի հանդիպումը քննարկել է մի շարք առանցքային թեմաներ, այդ թվում՝ իրավիճակը Գազայում և Ուկրաինայում, Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի հարաբերությունները և ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարը, հայտնում է TRT-ն։

Վաշինգտոնում կայացած հանդիպման ժամանակ Թուրքիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Հաքան Ֆիդանը և ԱՄՆ ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով խորհրդական Ջեյք Սալիվանը քննարկել են Գազայում կրակի անհապաղ դադարեցման և պաշարված էքսկլավին մարդասիրական օգնության ավելացման անհրաժեշտությունը: Երկուստեք ընդգծվել է մարդասիրական աջակցության ամրապնդման կարևորությունը և վերանայվել բանակցություններում առկա առաջընթացը։

Հանդիպմանն ընդգծվել է Ուկրաինայում հակամարտությունը լուծելու անհրաժեշտությունը՝ պահպանելով երկրի տարածքային և քաղաքական ամբողջականությունը։ Մտահոգություն է արտահայտվել նաև ռազմական գործողությունների ձգձգման վերաբերյալ։

Քննարկման ընթացքում հատուկ ուշադրություն է դարձվել Սիրիայում ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարի խնդրին։ Թուրքիան հայտնել է իր հաստատակամ վճռականությունը ահաբեկչական խմբավորումների դեմ պայքարում և կոչ է արել Միացյալ Նահանգներին համագործակցել դաշնակցային ոգով, որը ներառում է դադարեցնել աջակցությունը PKK-ի ճյուղերին։

Բանակցությունների ընթացքում ընդգծվել է նաև Իրաքում քաղաքական կայունության պահպանման և նրա տարածքում ահաբեկչական տարրերի դեմ պայքարը շարունակելու կարևորությունը։

Ֆիդանը և Սալիվանն անդրադարձել են նաև Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի միջև հարաբերությունների կարգավորման գործընթացին՝ նշելով, որ խաղաղ գործընթացում հաջողությունները կնպաստեն Կովկասի ընդհանուր բարգավաճմանը և կայունությանը։
