Երևանի Շիրակացու անվան դպրոցի 9-րդ դասարանի աշակերտուհիներ Գայանե Մուրադյանը, Նանե Պողոսյանը և Մարգարիտա Գրիգորյանը սովորական երևանյան դպրոցականներ են, բայց շատերից տարբերվում են, որովհետև սեփական երջանկությունը տեսնում են նաև ուրիշների  բարեկեցության մեջ: Նրանք փորձում են իրականացնել իրենց երազանքները, որոնցում նաև իրենց կարիքավոր հասակակիցներն են:

Գայանեն, Նանեն և Մարգարիտան օրերս կատարեցին իրենց կայնքի, հավանաբար, ամենահամարձակ քայլը՝ բարեգործություն: Բարեգործությունը մարդկային ամենամեծ առաքինություններից է: Այն հատկապես արժեքավոր է, երբ կատարվում է անշահախնդիր, իսկ մարդկային հասարակության ամենաանշահախնդիր ներկայացուցիչները երեխաներն են:

Մեր ակնարկի հերոսները ոչ այնքան այս երեք դպրոցահասակ աղջնակներն են, այլ Գյումրիի տնակային պայմաններում ապրող իրենց հասակակիցները: Նրանց օգնելու նպատակով՝ դասընկերուհիները դրամահավաք են նախաձեռնել, տարբեր մարդկանց ու կազմակերպություններին համոզել, որ այդ պայմաններում ապրող երեխաները հավելյալ ուշադրության կարիք ունեն, որ իրենք ավելի՝ քան մեծահասակները, պատկերացնում են դժվարին սոցիալական պայմաններում ապրող իրենց հասակակիցների դժվարությունները, նրանց երազանքներն ու մեծապես կգնահատեն թեկուզ փոքր, բայց սրտանց առաջարկվող օգնությունը:

Աղջիկները չեն ուզում խոսել իրենց հավաքած գումարի չափի, օգնություն ստացած երեխաների թվի մասին, նույնիսկ անուններ չեն տալիս, որովհետև համոզված են, որ էականը ոչ թե թվերն են, այլ այն, որ դժվարության մեջ հայտնված յուրաքանչյուր երեխա հավատա, որ իրեն կգտնեն, կաջակցեն, կդառնան իր ընկերը: Բայց ամենակարևորը, որ նշում են Գայանեն, Նանեն և Մարգարիտան, այն է, որ մի օր էլ այդ տնակներում ապրող երեխաներն են օգնելու ուրիշներին:
