Արևմուտքի հետ սիլի-բիլի անելով փաշինյանական վարչախմբին երեկ հերթական ապտակն է հասցվել իրենց իսկ սիրելի Եվրամիության կողմից։ Եվրոպական մի շարք կառույցներ՝ այդ թվում Եվրամիության արտաքին քաղաքականության հանձնակատարի խոսնակը, հայտարարել են, թե մտադիր չեն պատժամիջոցներ ներդնել Ադրբեջանի դեմ, առնվազն պատճառաբանությունն անհեթեթ է հնչում, թե իբր պատժամիջոցներն այս փուլում կարող են խաթարել խաղաղության գործընթացը։

Հայաստանի իշխանություններն այս հանգամանքը հաճախ են օգտագործում քարոզչական նպատակներով՝ հայտարարելով, թե իբր Հավաքական արևմուտքն իրենց կողմից է և Ադրբեջանի հնարավոր հարձակման դեպքում չեն վարանի պատժամիջոցներ ներդնել, իսկ վերջին օրերին հնչող հայտարարությունները վկայում են, որ Արևմուտքն ի տարբերություն Հայաստանի իշխանությունների չափազանց պրագմատիկ է իր քաղաքական հաշվարկներում։

Մի կողմից Ռուսաստանի դեմ նոր ճակատ է բացվում Հայաստանում՝ բնավ չմտահոգվելով Հայաստանի և Հայաստանի քաղաքացիների կյանքի ու ապագայի վերաբերյալ, մյուս կողմից բոլորովին ցանկություն չունեն փչացնել հարաբերություններն Ադրբեջանի հետ, առավել ևս, որ ի տարբերություն Հայաստանի, որի իշխանությունները մեկ, այն էլ ոչ իրացվելի «ռեսուրս» ունեն՝ ժողովրդավարությունը, Ադրբեջանը Եվրամիությանը գնում է կանխիկով՝ գազով, նավթով և այլ ռեսուրսներով, ուստի առնվազն անհեթեթ կլինի, որ Արևմուտքն իր իսկ ձեռքով Ադրբեջանին մղի դեպի Ռուսաստան, ընդհակառակը Հայաստանի իշխանություններին մահակ են թողնում Ադրբեջանի հետ հարաբերություններում, որպեսզի Ադրբեջանին էլ չկտրեն իրենցից, ուստի որևէ պատժամիջոցի մասին խոսք լինել չի կարող, իսկ հայ հասարակությանը հերթական հիասթափությունն է սպասում սեփական կառավարիչների դիլետանտության պատճառով։
