ЕС в 2023 году зарегистрировал рекордное за семь лет число заявлений на получение убежища

Около 1,1 млн заявлений на предоставление убежища в Евросоюзе было зарегистрировано в 2023 году, что является рекордом за последние семь лет. Об этом говорится в пресс-релизе Агентства ЕС по вопросам убежища (EUAA).

Согласно документу, в 2023 году было подано рекордное за семь лет число заявлений на предоставление убежища, более 1,1 млн, что на 18% больше, чем в 2022 году. Так, больше всего прошений было подано сирийцами и афганцами. Первое место по количеству заявок заняла Германия (334 тыс.), далее идут Франция (167 тыс.), Испания (162 тыс.) и Италия (136 тыс.), отмечает EUAA.

Глава Агентства ЕС по контролю границ Frontex Ханс Лейтенс в интервью агентству Reuters 8 февраля заявлял, что остановить поток мигрантов в ЕС крайне трудно, почти невозможно.

Страны ЕС согласовали в декабре 2023 года пакт о миграции и предоставлении убежища. Он предполагает создание единого механизма «гибкой солидарности», в рамках которого страны сообщества должны будут реагировать на усиление миграционного потока в любую из стран сообщества. Речь идет либо о перемещении части нелегалов на территорию другой страны ЕС, либо о выплате компенсации за каждого непринятого мигранта. Инициатива также предусматривает усиление контроля на внешних границах Евросоюза.
