Հայաստանի նախագահ Վահագն Խաչատուրյանը ներկայացրել է Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև հարաբերությունների կարգավորման գործընթացի մանրամասները՝ շեշտելով, որ բոլոր հարցերը պետք է լուծվեն բանակցությունների միջոցով։ Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ի թղթակիցը, ՀՀ նախագահը թեմային անդրադարձավ Բաղդադի համալսարանում ուսանողների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ՝ պատասխանելով հարցին, թե ինչպե՞ս է գնահատում Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև հարաբերությունների կարգավորման հեռանկարները։
«Մի կարևոր սկզբունք կա, հարևանների հետ պետք է ապրել խաղաղ։ Հիմա ինչ-որ գործընթացի արդյունքում ստեղծվել է առճակատում։ Դա չի կարող շարունակվել, պետք է կանգնել։ Մենք հիմա առաջարկում ենք կանգնել և իրար հետ խոսել։ Սկզբում, միգուցե, միջնորդների միջոցով։ Ավելի շուտ՝ մենք հիմա խոսում ենք հենց միջնորդների միջոցով։ Ամենացավոտ հարցերի մասին պետք է խոսել։ Կա շատ ծանր պատմություն՝ տասնյակ հազարավոր զոհեր և վիրավորներ, հազարավոր անհետ կորածներ` երկու կողմերից, տարածքային որոշակի խնդիրներ։ Մենք վստահ ենք, որ ցանկության դեպքում բոլոր հարցերը լուծելի են։ Հիմա մենք այդ ճանապարհին ենք»,- մանրամասնեց նախագահը՝ նկատելով, որ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարները երկու շաբաթ առաջ հանդիպել են Մյունխենում, փետրվարի 28-ին Բեռլինում հանդիպելու են նաև երկու երկրների ԱԳ նախարարներ։
Խաչատուրյանն ընդգծեց, որ սեղանին կա խաղաղության պայմանագրի փաստաթղթի նախագիծ, որի շուրջ կողմերը հիմա փորձում են ընդհանուր համաձայնության գալ։
«Սա է ճանապարհը․ ուժով, պատերազմով հարցեր չեն լուծում։ Մենք սա հասկանում ենք, հույս ունեմ, որ Ադրբեջանում էլ են հասկանում։ Մեր առաջարկած «Խաղաղության խաչմերուկ» նախագիծը հենց այդ տրամաբանության մեջ է»,- նշեց ՀՀ նախագահը։
