ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը հայտարարել է, որ Իսրայելի և ՀԱՄԱՍ-ի միջև Գազայի հատվածում հրադադարի շուրջ համաձայնությունը կարող է ձեռք բերվել մինչև մարտի 4-ը։
Ավելի վաղ Axios-ը, հղում անելով աղբյուրներին, հայտնել էր ՀԱՄԱՍ-ի մոտ պահվող 40 պատանդի ազատ արձակման շուրջ բանակցություններում առաջընթացի մասին՝ վեցշաբաթյա հրադադարի և պաղեստինցի բանտարկյալներին իսրայելական բանտերից ազատելու դիմաց:
«Իմ ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով խորհրդականը (Ջեյք Սալիվան - Խմբ.) ինձ ասաց, որ մենք մոտ ենք: Մենք մոտ ենք, բայց դա դեռ չի արվել: Եվ ես հույս ունեմ, որ մինչև հաջորդ երկուշաբթի կլինի հրադադար»,- ասել է Ջո Բայդենը՝ ի պատասխան հրադադարի բանակցությունների արդյունքների մասին հարցին։
Փետրվարի սկզբին Փարիզում Իսրայելի ներկայացուցիչները և միջնորդներ Եգիպտոսը, Քաթարը և Միացյալ Նահանգները պայմանավորվեցին շրջանակային համաձայնագրի շուրջ, որը ներառում է մի քանի փուլ՝ պաղեստինցի գերիների փոխանակում իսրայելցի պատանդների հետ և երկարաժամկետ զինադադար՝ առանց պատերազմի ավարտի պարտավորությունների: Ավելի ուշ Axios-ը հայտնել է, որ Իսրայելը զգալի զիջումների է գնացել շրջանակային համաձայնագրի նախագծում։ Պորտալի տվյալներով՝ այս մասին Ջո Բայդենին հեռախոսազրույցում ասել է Իսրայելի վարչապետ Բենիամին Նեթանյահուն։
