Գերագույն հոգևոր խորհուրդն այսօր հանդես է եկել կարևոր  հայտարարությամբ:

«Գերագույն հոգևոր խորհուրդը դատապարտելի նկատեց հրադադարի պայմաններում Ադրբեջանի անթաքույց ծավալապաշտական նկրտումները, Հայաստանի ինքնիշխան տարածքների նկատմամբ շարունակվող ադրբեջանական զինված ուժերի ոտնձգությունները և թշնամանքի ու հայատյացության քարոզչությունը։ Հայրենիքի առջև ծառացած անվտանգային հիմնախնդիրների հաղթահարման, Արցախի ժողովրդի իրավունքների պաշտպանության հարցում Գերագույն հոգեւոր խորհուրդը կենսական և կարևոր համարեց համազգային միաբանությունը, ազգային կառույցների ներուժի արդյունավետ կենտրոնացումը, Հայաստան և սփյուռք հարաբերությունների առողջացումն ու գործակցության պատշաճ կազմակերպումը»,– ասված է հայտարարության մեջ։

Մասնավոր անդրադարձ է կատարվել նոր Սահմանադրություն ընդունելու վերաբերյալ ՀՀ իշխանությունների մտադրությանը։ Ընդգծելով, որ ՀՀ Սահմանադրության հիմքն են կազմում ազգային-հոգևոր կյանքի խորհրդանիշերը, մեր ժողովրդի նվիրական անցյալի հիշատակներն ու իրադարձությունները և ազգային մեր իղձերն ու ձգտումները՝ ժողովականներն անթույլատրելի են համարել այդ արժեքների որևէ նսեմացում կամ անտեսում հանրային քննարկումներում, առավել ևս նոր Սահմանադրության ընդունման համատեքստում։ Գերագույն հոգևոր խորհուրդը խիստ տարակուսելի է համարել նոր Սահմանադրություն ընդունելու նախաձեռնությունը հատկապես, երբ հանրային ստվար շրջանակներում այն ընկալվում է նաև որպես հետևանք արտաքին հարկադրանքի։ 

Ակնհայտ է, որ հայ առաքելական եկեղեցին հստակ գնահատական է տալիս իշխանությունների՝ նոր Սահմանադրություն կազմելու մտադրությանը և միանշանակ դեմ է արտահայտվում դրանում առաջարկվող փոփոխություններին, որոնք իրենց հերթին շոշափում են ազգային արժեքները և հայ ժողովրդի հոգևոր հիմքերը խարխլելու բացահայտ միտում ունեն: Հոգևոր խորհուրդը դեմ է արտահայտվել նաև իշխանությունների կողմից առաջ մղվող Ստամբուլյան կոնվենցիային և ԼԳԲՏ քարոզին՝ դիտարկելով դա որպես հարված ավանդական ընտանիքի մոդելին և ազգային ինքնությանը: Հասկանալի է, որ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի և նրա թիմակիցների ընդգծված վերաբերմունքը Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցու և բարձագույն հոգևոր դասի ներկայացուցիչների հանդեպ թելադրված է հենց եկեղեցու սկզբունքային դիրքորոշմամբ, որը թույլ չի տալիս իշխանություններին առաջ մղել ապազգային օրակարգը: Սակայն, իշխանություններն, ամեն դեպքում, չեն հանձնվում: Դիցուք՝ այսօր նախատեսված էր ընդդեմ եկեղեցու հավաքը, որը շատերի կարծիքով՝ թելադրված է  հենց իշխանության բարձր էշելոնների կողմից, սակայն ի պաշտպանություն Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցու հավաքվածների թիվը տասնապատիկ անգամ ավել էր հավաք անցկացնողների թվից, իսկ դա արդեն իսկ խոսում է այն բանի մասին, որ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի և նրա թիմակիցների մոտ հալած յուղի պես չի ստացվելու իրականացնել հայ ժողովրդի ինքնությունը բնաջնջելու օպերացիան, որն, ի դեպ, հանրության մի ստվար հատվածի կարծիքով՝ թելադրված է դրսից և նպատակ է հետապնդում էլ ավելի թուլացնել Հայաստանը և վերացնել այն բոլոր սիմվոլները, որոնք հային հայ են պահում...
