 Աշխատանքային այցով Չեխիայի Հանրապետությունում գտնվող ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահ, Հայաստան-Չեխիա պատգամավորական բարեկամության խմբի ղեկավար Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը հունվարի 18-ին հանդիպում է ունեցել Չեխիայի Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցու առաջնորդ, Պրահայի արքեպիսկոպոս Կարդինալ Դոմինիկ Դուկայի հետ:

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին Էդուարդ Շարմազանովի աշխատակազմից,  ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահը  բարձր է գնահատել Պրահայի արքեպիսկոպոսի անձնական ներդրումը երկու քրիստոնյա ժողովուրդների հարաբերությունների ամրապնդման գործում: Էդուարդ Շարմազանովն իր երախտագիտությունն է հայտնել Կարդինալ Դոմինիկ Դուկային` Պրահայում Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցին նվիրված ցուցահանդեսին մասնակցելու համար:

ԱԺ փոխնախագահը գոհունակությամբ արձանագրել է, որ անցյալ տարի Պրահայի «Սուրբ Հոգի» կաթոլիկ եկեղեցին անժամկետ օգտագործման համար փոխանցվել է Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու Սուրբ Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչ ծխական համայնքին:

Կարդինալ Դոմինիկ Դուկան իր հերթին նշել է, որ տպավորված է անցյալ տարի Հայաստան կատարած իր այցով: Պրահայի արքեպիսկոպոսը կարեւորել է աշխարհում առաջինը քրիստոնեությունը որպես պետական կրոն ընդունած երկրի հետ հարաբերությունների խորացումը:

Հանդիպմանը կողմերն իրենց մտահոգությունն են հայտնել մեր օրերում քրիստոնյաների բնաջնջման եւ մշակութային ցեղասպանության կապակցությամբ՝ նշելով, որ այսօր Մերձավոր Արեւելքի քրիստոնյաները կանգնած են բնաջնջման նույնպիսի վտանգի առջեւ, ինչպես 100 տարի առաջ Թուրքիայում: Կարդինալ Դոմինիկ Դուկան եւս մեկ անգամ դատապարտել է հայկական քրիստոնեական հուշարձանների ոչնչացումը: Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը  Չեխիայի Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցու առաջնորդին նվիրել է Գրիգոր Նարեկացու «Մատյան ողբերգության» պոեմը:
