«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
Մեր ունեցած տեղեկություններով, ոչ միայն Փաշինյանի թիմակիցների մեծ մասը, այլև հենց ինքը՝ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն է հիանալի գիտակցում, որ մի կողմից՝ նոր Սահմանադրության ընդունման թեման, հակազգային այլ քայլերը, երկրի անվտանգային լուրջ սպառնալիքները առաջիկայում լուրջ դիմադրության են արժանանալու և բավական թափով արշավներ են սկսվելու իր դեմ, մյուս կողմից՝ իր վարկանիշը գնալով նվազում է թե՛ Հայաստանում, թե՛ Սփյուռքում: Վերջինիս ամենաթարմ վկայությունն էր Մյունխենում իբր «հայ համայնքի» հետ խղճուկ հանդիպումը, երբ չէին կարողացել տեղի հայությանը համոզել՝ ներկա գտնվել Փաշինյանի հետ հանդիպմանը:
Սրան գումարած՝ Փաշինյանի համար ակնհայտ է, որ համախմբված, ազդեցիկ այլընտրանքային բևեռի կամ, ինչպես ընդունված է ասել, «երրորդ ուժի» ի հայտ գալու դեպքում իշխանությունը պահելու որևէ շանս չի ունենա: Ըստ այդմ, մեր աղբյուրների փոխանցմամբ, նա առաջարկել է իր սատելիտ, «քպակից» քաղաքական ուժերին՝ ակտիվանալ ու զբաղեցնել այդ «երրորդ ուժի» բաց դաշտը: Այսինքն, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը փորձում է լցնել այդ վակուումը՝ սեփական գրպանային ուժերի միջոցով:
