Իրանի դեմ պատժամիջոցների վերացումը, կարծես թե, այդքան էլ չի ոգևորում Ադրբեջանին։ Թեև այսօր Ադրբեջանի արտգործնախարարությունը շնորհավորել է Իրանին՝ պատժամիջոցների վերացման կապակցությամբ, բայց կատարվածի նկատմամբ ադրբեջանական դժգոհությունը երևում է նույնիսկ շնորհավորական ուղերձի բովանդակությունից, որտեղ յուրաքանչյուր բառը վկայում է դրա զուտ «արարողակարգային» և ձևական բնույթի մասին։

Իհարկե, Բաքվում հասկանում են, որ Իրանի ապամեկուսացումն ու վերադարձը միջազգային քաղաքականություն շատ դեպքերում է հակասելու իրենց շահերին։

Այսպես, նախ՝ Իրանի՝ միջազգային ասպարեզում ու հատկապես տարածաշրջանում դիրքերի ամրապնդմանը զուգահեռ Ադրբեջանը ստիպված է լինելու ավելի զգուշավոր քաղաքականություն վարել ԻԻՀ «ոխերիմ բարեկամ» Իսրայելի հետ, որի հետ համագործակցությունն այս պահի դրությամբ շատ բարձր մակարդակի է: Ադրբեջանա-իսրայելական հարաբերությունների «ջերմությունը» նկարագրելու համար բավական է միայն նշել իսրայելական զինամթերքի այն ծավալը, որ այսօր Ադրբեջանը ստանում է Իսրայելից՝ նավթ վաճառելու դիմաց: Իհարկե, այս ամենը պաշտոնական Թեհրանի սրտով չէ, քանի որ Իսրայելը, Ադրբեջանին զինելով, բացի Հայաստանի անվտանգությանը հարվածելուց նաև «օձ է տաքացնում» Իրանի թիկունքում։

Իրանի կապանքների ազատումը կարող է վատ անդրադառնալ նաև թուրք-ադրբեջանական հարաբերությունների վրա՝ ստիպելով դրանց դառնալ ավելի զգուշավոր, քանի որ Թուրքիայի համար տարածաշրջանում հայտնվում է ուժային մեկ այլ կենտրոն: Սա էլ ավելի է դժվարացնելու Թուրքիայի որդեգրած նեոօսմանական քաղաքականության իրագործումը, ինչպես նաև հարվածելու է Թուրքիայի ունեցած տարածաշրջանային հեղինակությանը:

Այս ամենին զուգահեռ Իրանի ապամեկուսացումը Ադրբեջանի համար կարելի է որակել կրկնակի հարված տնտեսական առումով, քանի որ իրանական նավթը, վերդառնալով միջազգային շուկա, կարող է էլ ավելի արագացնել նավթի համաշխարհային գների անկման տեմպերը: Թեև ադրբեջանական նավթի վաճառքը կազմում է աշխարհում նավթի ընդհանուր վաճառքի ընդամենը 0.5-0.6 տոկոսը, միևնույնն է, նավթագազային տնտեսություն ունեցող Ադրբեջանի համար նավթի գների ցանկացած վայրէջքային տատանում շատ ցավալի հետևանքներ է ունենում։
Պատահական չէ, որ վերջին շրջանում նավթի գների անկմանը զուգահեռ Ադրբեջանը ստիպված է գնալ մի շարք խնայողությունների, և ամենևին բացառված չէ, որ հետաձգվեն տարածաշրջանային մի շարք խոշոր նախագծեր, ինչպիսին է, օրինակ, ԹԱՆԱՓԸ, որի միջոցով պլանավորվում է ադրբեջանական գազը հասցնել Եվրոպա։

Բաքվում նաև հասկանում են, որ Իրանի հզորացմամբ Ադրբեջանում կաշխուժանան կրոնական պահպանողական և իրանամետ ուժերը, որոնց դեմ բռնությունններն ու ճնշումներն անցյալ տարվա նոյեմբերին նոր թափ էին ստացել։
