ՀՀ ԱԺ պատգամավոր Տիգրան Աբրահամյանը գրում է․

«Այսօր լրանում է արցախյան շարժման 36-ամյակը, որը մի քանի տասնամյակ խորհրդանշում է հայ ժողովրդի հավաքական կամքն ու արդար ձգտումը` տնօրինելու սեփական ճակատագիրն ու հանուն ազգային գաղափարների պայքարելու վճռականությունը:

1988 թվականի փետրվարի 20-ին Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի մարզխորհրդի արտահերթ նստաշրջանն ընդունեց պատմական որոշում, որով արտահայտում էր արցախցիների ազատ ինքնորոշվելու կամքը և սկիզբ դնում Արցախի վերածննդին:

Այս ճանապարհը բարդ էր և փշոտ, սակայն գաղափարն այնքան ամուր էր, որ շատերն իրենց նպատակին հասնելու ճանապարհին սեփական կյանքը դրեցին:

Սա պայքարի ու հաղթանակի հնարավորություն ստեղծեց ոչ միայն Արցախի, այլ նաև Հայաստանի համար, որովհետև հետագայում սկիզբ առած ադրբեջանական հարձակումները ոչ միայն Արցախի, այլ Հայաստանի ուղղությամբ էին` Մեղրիից, Երասխից մինչև Տավուշ:

Հայ ժողովրդի համար այս ծանր ժամանակներում այս օրը ոչ թե պետք է լինի հուսահատության կամ մղձավանջի առիթ, այլ պետք է լինի արձանագրումն այն բանի, որ ամենածանր օրերին հայն ունակ է գաղափարի հիմքով միաբանվելու և իր վճռական մարտը վարելու` անկախ նրանից, թե թշնամին ներսում է՞, թե՞ դրսում:

Այսօրվա պայքարը նաև հարգանքի դրսևորում է բոլոր այն նահատակների նկատմամբ, ովքեր այս տասնամյակների ընթացքում զոհվել են հանուն վաղվա օրվա և հանուն Արցախի ու Հայաստանի պաշտպանության»:
