Թուրքիայի տրանսպորտի և ենթակառուցվածքների նախարար Աբդուլքադիր Ուրալօղլուն Hurriyet թերթին տված հարցազրույցում անդրադարձել է այսպես կոչված «Զանգեզուրի միջանցքին»:
Պատասխանելով լրագրողին հարցին այն մասին՝ արդյոք այս հարցում որևէ առաջընթաց կա՞, նա նշել է.«Հայաստանով անցնող այս երթուղու երկարությունը 43 կիլոմետր է։ Եթե հայկական կողմի հետ խնդիր առաջանա, Ադրբեջանը բանակցում է նաև Իրանի հետ՝ նրա տարածքով միջանցքն անցկացնելու հնարավորության հետ կապված։ Հետևաբար կա երկու այլընտրանք, և այս երկու այլընտրանքներն էլ ներկայումս քննարկման փուլում են»:
Խոսելով շինարարական աշխատանքների մասին՝ Ուրալօղլուն ասել է.«Ներկայում ադրբեջանական կողմը շարունակում է շինարարությունը։ Նախիջևանի և մեր կողմի տենդերը հայտարարվել է: Կվերականգնվի կամ կվերակառուցվի 106 կմ երկարությամբ ճանապարհ։ Ինչպես ասացի, երկու այլընտրանքներն էլ քննարկման սեղանին են»:
