Շատ իզուր էր, որ Ռուսաստանը ոչ թե ավելի վաղ սկսեց ակտիվ գործողություններ Ուկրաինայում, այլ երկար ժամանակ փորձում էր հակամարտությունը լուծել խաղաղ ճանապարհով և ապավինում էր իր հակառակորդների պարկեշտությանը։
Այս մասին ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը հայտարարել է լրագրող Պավել Զարուբինին տված հարցազրույցում։
«Միակ բանը, ինչի համար կարող ենք ափսոսալ, այն է, որ մենք ավելի վաղ չսկսեցինք մեր ակտիվ գործողությունները՝ հավատալով, որ գործ ունենք պարկեշտ մարդկանց հետ», - ասել է պետության ղեկավարը՝ նկարագրելով իրավիճակը Ուկրաինայի շուրջ։
Պուտինը նշել է, որ առաջին փուլում Ռուսաստանը փորձել է լուծել Դոնբասի հակամարտությունը «խաղաղ միջոցների օգնությամբ՝ Մինսկի համաձայնագրերով»։
«Ինչպես հետո պարզվեց, այստեղ էլ մեզ քթից բռնած տանում էին, քանի որ և՛ Գերմանիայի նախկին կանցլերը, և՛ Ֆրանսիայի նախկին նախագահը խոստովանեցին և ուղղակիորեն հրապարակայնորեն հայտարարեցին, որ մտադիր չեն կատարել մեր պայմանավորվածությունները։ Նրանք պարզապես ժամանակ էին շահում ուկրաինական ռեժիմը լրացուցիչ զենքով ապահովելու համար։ Ինչը նրանք հաջողությամբ արեցին»,- հայտարարել է ՌԴ ղեկավարը։
