Կարեն Անդրեասյանը Ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.
Հայաստանի հարգարժան մարդիկ,
Երբ հինգ տարի առաջ ստանձնում էի երբևէ ցանկացածս միակ պետական պաշտոնը, փորձեցի հանրությանը ներկայացնել իմ սպասելիքներն ու մղումներն այս տողերով. «Որպես իրավաբան` մարդկանց հավասարությունն օրենքի առաջ ինձ համար միշտ եղել է կարևորագույն սկզբունք: Որպես պրակտիկ մարդ` ես էլ գիտեմ‚ որ սա ամենադժվար իրականացվող նորմերից է: Որպես իրատես` չեմ կասկածում‚ որ այս առաքելությունն իրականացնելիս ավելի հաճախ դառնում են քննադատության թիրախ‚ քան արժանանում հիացմունքի: Բայց որպես լավատես` ես հավատում եմ‚ որ «կաթիլը քար է ծակում»:
Իմ բարդ ճանապարհի այս փուլն ավարտելիս ցանկանում եմ հենց այս տրամաբանության մեջ ամփոփել ասելիքս.
Որպես իդեալիստ. Այս տարիներին շատ է մաշվել իդեալիզմս, բայց և այն ինձ օգնել է ամենածանր օրերին: Այն դեռ պահպանվել է: Պարզապես ավելի տեղեկացված ու իմաստնացած է դարձել: Ես անսահման մարդկային բարություն եմ տեսել այս տարիներին և հատկապես այն մարդկանց մոտ, ովքեր ամենածանր կացության մեջ են եղել:
Որպես պրակտիկ մարդ. Ես գիտեմ, որ ինձնից այսօր շատերն ակնկալում են միայն մեկ բան՝ կարճ ու կոնկրետ՝ հրաժարականիս պատճառը: Վերջին օրերին ես լսեցի այդ պատճառի մասին մի շարք ողջամիտ բացատրություններ, բայց նաև մի քանի ցնդաբանություններ: Հրաժարականի պատճառը բազմաշերտ է և շատ բարդ է այն ներկայացնել մեկ կամ մի քանի բառով: Բայց ամենակարճն ու հիմնականը հետևյալն է: Եթե 2016 թվականին էլ հենց ես մնայի Օմբուդսմեն, ապա այս կարևորագույն ինստիտուտն այլևս չէր լինի այնքան արդյունավետ, որքան դարձել էր երկար տարիների չարչարանքի շնորհիվ: Պատկերացնում եմ չարախոսներին, որ այս տողերից հետո ավելի մեծ կատաղությամբ կսկսեն պախարակել մեր կատարած նախկին աշխատանքը, բայց հուսամ՝ նրանք կփորձեն նաև այլ եղանակներով վաստակել իրենց օրվա հացը:
Որպես իրավաբան. Ակնկալում եմ, որ բոլոր այն օրենքները, որ կընդունվեն այս տարի որպես նոր Սահմանադրության հետևանք, կլինեն իրապես մարդակենտրոն և ի օգուտ մարդու իրավունքների կլուծեն այն հարցերը, որոնց կարգավորումը ներկայիս Սահմանադրությունը բաց է թողել:
Որպես լավատես. Հուսով եմ, որ իմ զավակները կմեծանան այնպիսի Հայաստանում, որտեղ անքննելի իրականություն կդառնա օրենքի առջև բոլորի հավասարությունը, իսկ իմ որդիների զինվորական ծառայությունը կանցնի առանց թշնամական գեթ մեկ կրակոցի:
Վերջապես, ներողություն եմ խնդրում բոլոր նրանցից, ում սպասումները չարդարացրեցի օբյեկտիվ կամ սուբյեկտիվ պատճառներով: Շնորհակալություն եմ հայտնում այն բազմաթիվ մարդկանց, ովքեր ինձ օգնեցին ստանձնել, իսկ այնուհետև կատարել մարդուն օգնելու այս մեծ առաքելությունը, և ովքեր այս հինգ տարիներին ինձ հետ անցան բոլոր փորձությունները:
