Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի վարչախմբին կոռուպցիոն բնույթի սկանդալներն ուղեկցում են կառավարման առաջին իսկ օրվանից։ Այդ փաստը, սակայն, չի խանգարել երբեք Փաշինյանին ու նրա սպասարկուներին առանց աչք ճպացնելու հայտարարել, թե Հայաստանում «համակարգային կոռուպցիան արմատախիլ է արված»։

Որքան միջազգային կառույցները, անգամ վարչախմբի հետ սերտ կապված Transparency International հակակոռուպցիոն կենտրոնը պնդում են, թե կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարում որևէ իրական առաջընթաց չկա, այնքան վարչախմբի պարագլուխը լկտիանում է, իսկ կոռուպցիոն սխեմաներում առաջին հերթին ներգրավվում են նրա մերձավոր շրջապատի անձինք։ Սուտ կլինի ասել, թե կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքար չկա։ Կա, սակայն այնքանով, որքանով դա բխում է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի սեփական պահանջմունքներից։ Վկան, պետական բարձրաստիճան տարբեր պաշտոնյաների, նրանց ընտանիքների անդամների դեմ հարուցված քրեական վարույթներն են։ Վերջին դեպքը, հիշեցնենք, ըստ Սահմանադրության, երկրի երկրորդ դեմքի՝ ԱԺ նախագահ Ալեն Սիմոնյանի եղբոր կնոջ կալանավորումն էր։ Ամենևին չխախտելով որևէ մեկի անմեղության կանխավարկածը, պետք է նշել, որ երիտասարդ կնոջ նկատմամբ կալանքի կիրառումը չափից դուրս դաժան էր ու հստակ ազդակ պարագլխի կողմնակիցներին, որ չփորձեն ոտնձգել իշխանության վերին օղակի շահերին, մտքներով էլ չանցնի, որ կարող են անպատիժ մնալ քաղաքական ինքնուրույնության ցանկացած դրվագում։

Ըստ էության, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը վաղուց այլևս վախ չի զգում ընդդիմությունից, ինչը չի կարելի ասել սեփական թիմի մասին։ Փաշինյանը, լավ ճանաչելով իրեն իշխանության բերած շրջանակներին, գիտե, որ անհրաժեշտ պահին չեն վարանի փոխարինել իրեն որևէ անիմաստ թիմակցով։ Ի վերջո, Փաշինյանի թիմակիցներն էլ աչքի չեն ընկնում գաղափարներով, մարդկային որակներով, և չեն վարանի անհրաժեշտ պահին փուռը տալ իրենց փաբերից դուրս բերած, պարտքի ցուցակներում հայտնվելուց փրկած, շատ դեպքերում էլ որևէ տնակում ցուրտ մահճակալին քնելու փոխարեն շքեղ բնակարաններում ու առանձնատներում ապրելու շանս տված Փաշինյանին։ Ընդհակառակը, պոպուլիզմի գծով կգերազանցեն նույն Փաշինյանին՝ նրա դեմ իրենց վարքը որպես հայրենասիրության դրսևորում ներկայացնելով։ Իսկ մինչ այդ ստիպված են կռանալ Փաշինյանի առջև, հանդուրժել իրենց հարազատների կալանքը, «պարոն վարչապետ» մրմնջալով օգտվել իշխանական կերակրատաշտից։ Իսկ հարազատները... իսկ հարզատները, ոչինչ, մի քանի ամիս էլ կանցկացնեն ճաղերի ետևում՝ վասն «ոչ բռնի, թավշյա հեղափոխության»։
