Հութիները Կարմիր ծովում հարձակվել են ամերիկյան նավի վրա։  Այս մասին հայտնել է խմբավորման խոսնակ, բրիգադային գեներալ Յահյա Սարին։

«Եմենի ռազմածովային ուժերը Կարմիր ծովում մի քանի հրթիռներ են արձակել ամերիկյան USS Gravely կործանիչի ուղղությամբ»,- գրել է նա սոցիալական ցանցերում։

Սարին ասել է, որ Կարմիր և Արաբական ծովերում գտնվող բոլոր ամերիկյան և բրիտանական ռազմանավերը, որոնք ներգրավված են Եմենի դեմ ագրեսիայի մեջ, թիրախավորվում են հութիների կողմից՝ «մեր երկիրը, մեր ժողովրդին և մեր ազգը պաշտպանելու» իրավունքին համապատասխան։

Հունվարի 31-ի գիշերը ԱՄՆ կենտրոնական հրամանատարությունը (CENTCOM) հայտնել է, որ USS Gravely-ը խոցել է հութիների արձակած հրթիռը։

«Հունվարի 30-ին՝ Սանայի ժամանակով 23:30-ի սահմաններում (Երևանի ժամանակով՝ հունվարի 31-ին՝ 00:30-ին) Իրանի կողմից աջակցվող հութի ապստամբները Եմենում իրենց վերահսկողության տակ գտնվող տարածքներից մեկ հականավային հրթիռ են արձակել Կարմիր ծովի ուղղությամբ: Հրթիռը խոցվել է USS Gravely-ի կողմից: Տուժածների մասին տեղեկություններ չկան»,- ասվում է CENTCOM-ի հայտարարության մեջ:

Զինված «Անսար Ալլահ» խմբավորումը, որի անդամները կոչվում են նաև հութիներ, այժմ վերահսկում են Եմենի զգալի մասը՝ ներառյալ մայրաքաղաք Սանան, ինչպես նաև Սաուդյան Արաբիայի մոտ գտնվող երկրի հյուսիսային և արևմտյան որոշ տարածքներ։
