Հայաստանի վարչապետի պաշտոնը զբաղեցնող անձը, դեռևս օրեր առաջ Գավառում՝ «Քաղպայմանագրի» նախաձեռնող խմբի հետ հանդիպմանն անդրադարձել էր գաղափարական խնդիրներին և տարօրինակ մի հայտարարություն արել, որի վտանգավորության մասին պարզվել է ընդամենը երեկ։

Ըստ Փաշինյանի՝ մասնագետների մի խումբ դիմել է իրեն՝ առաջարկելով դպրոցներում դասավանդվող «Հայոց պատմությունը» վերանվանել «Հայաստանի պատմության»։ Փաշինյանի մտազեղումներից օրեր անց ԿԳՄՍ նախարարությունը հանրային քննարկման է ներկայացրել կառավարության որոշման փոփոխության նախագիծը, որով առաջարկվում է «Հայոց պատմություն» առարկան վերանվանել «Հայաստանի պատմություն»։

Միգուցե կարելի կլիներ աչք փակել ԿԳՄՍ այս ձեռնարկի վրա, սակայն ամեն ինչ ինչին ձեռք է տալիս փաշինյանական վարչախումբն ունի արտաքին հետք, թելադրված է Հայաստանի թշնամիների կողմից, և փաշինյանական վարչախմբի ձեռամբ պարտադրվում է Հայաստանի Հանրապետությանը։ Գրաբարյան «հայոց» բառն արդեն այնքան բացառիկ ձևակերպում է, որ իր մեջ պարունակում է ոչ միայն հայերի, այլ Հայաստանի՝ Հայքի պատմությունը և հնարավորություն է տալիս ուսումնասիրել ոչ միայն Հայաստանի Հանրապետության, այլ ողջ հայության՝ այդ թվում Սփյուռքում ապրողների պատմությունը։ Բնականաբար անվանի մասնագետների մի մեծ բազմություն լծվեց Փաշինյանի այս վտանգավոր ու անհեթեթ ձեռնարկը քննադատելու գործին։

Վարչապետի պաշտոնը զբաղեցնող անձը հայտարարել էր, թե նման առաջարկն արել է մասնագետների ինչ-որ խումբ։ Որևէ պետական մարմին մինչ օրս չի հայտնել, թե ովքեր են այդ մասնագետները, որոնք նման առաջարկներ են անում, հանրությունը պետք է իմանա իր բոլոր թշնամիներին, ոչ միայն մենակ Քաղաքացիական պայմանագրին։
