Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին տեղեկացրել է, որ ստորագրել է հրամանագիր «Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության պատմականորեն ուկրաինացիներով բնակեցված տարածքների մասին»։ Այս մասին նա հայտնել է հունվարի 22-ին,  Ուկրաինայի Միասնության օրվա առիթով հղած ուղերձում։

«Սա պատմական անցյալի մասին ճշմարտության վերադարձն է՝ հանուն ուկրաինական ապագայի»,- ասել է Ուկրաինայի նախագահը։ Նրա խոսքով՝ Ուկրաինայի իշխանությունները պետք է ամեն ինչ անեն «իրավունքների եւ ազատությունների միասնության, ուկրաինացիների ճշմարտացիության, մեր մասին եւ մեր պատմության մասին ճշմարտության համար»։

Հրամանագրի տեքստում, որը հրապարակվել է Զելենսկու կայքում, ասված է, որ Ուկրաինայի իշխանությունները պատրաստվում են մշակել «ՌԴ-ում ուկրաինացիների ազգային ինքնության պահպանման գործողությունների պլան, այդ թվում նրանց պատմականորեն զբաղեցրած հողերում», որոնք գտնվում են ՌԴ ժամանակակից Կրասնոդարի երկրամասի, Բելգորոդի, Բրյանսկի, Վորոնեժի, Կուրսկի, Ռոստովի մարզերի սահմաններում»։

Բացի այդ, Ուկրաինայի իշխանությունները ծրագրում են ստեղծել կենտրոն, որը կսկսի հավաքել տվյալներ այն հանցագործությունների մասին, որոնք կատարվել են Ռուսաստանում ապրող ուկրանացիների դեմ, ինչպես նաեւ «հարկադրական ռուսիֆիկացման քաղաքականության, քաղաքական բռնաճնշումների եւ բռնի տեղահանումների մասին»։

Կիեւը նաեւ նախատեսում է ակտիվորեն պայքարել ապատեղեկատվության եւ ՌԴ քարոզչության դեմ, ինչպես նաեւ իրականացնել միջոցառումներ՝ «ուղղված Ուկրաինայի մասին առասպելների պսակազերծմանը»։ Ուկրաինայում ուսումնական ծրագրերում պատրաստվում են մտցնել փոփոխություններ, որպեսզի պատմեն «էթնիկ ուկրաինացիների ճշմարիտ պատմությունը ՌԴ-ում նրանց պատմականորեն բնակեցրած հողերում»։
