Ճապոնական ծովի ափին գտնվող Նոտո թերակղզու տարածքում տեղի ունեցած մի շարք երկրաշարժերի հետևանքով զոհերի թիվը, ըստ Իշիկավա պրեֆեկտուրայի իշխանությունների, հասել է 232-ի, գրում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը։
Ավելի վաղ հաղորդվում էր աղետի 222 զոհի մասին։ Եվս 20-ից ավելի մարդ անհայտ կորած է համարվում։
