Անցած 2023 թվականը ռեկորդային աճ է գրանցել արևային էներգետիկայի ոլորտում, իսկ գեներացիայի արդյունավետության բարձրացման ուղղությամբ նորարարությունների մշակումները գրեթե ռեկորդային են եղել։
Արտադրության ահռելի ծավալներ են գրանցվել հատկապես Չինաստանում, իսկ մյուս երկրները փորձել են զարգացնել սեփական արտադրությունը։
Վերլուծաբանների և մասնագետների տվյալներով՝ 2022 թվականին արևային էներգիան աճի տեմպերով առաջատարն էր աշխարհում էլեկտրաէներգիայի այլ ոլորտների շարքում՝ գրեթե 24 %-ով։ 2023-ի արդյունքները դեռ ամբողջությամբ ամփոփված չեն, սակայն աճն ավելի մեծ է, առնվազն 30 %, մինչև 310 գիգավատտ։ Հատկապես ակտիվորեն նոր կայաններ են կառուցվել Չինաստանում և Գերմանիայում, նախորդ տարվա համեմատ Չինաստանում կառուցված կայանների թիվն աճել է 2,5 անգամ, Գերմանիայում՝ 2 անգամ։
Արևային էներգիայի խոշորագույն սպառողները շարունակում են մնալ Չինաստանը, ԱՄՆ-ն, Եվրամիությունը և Հնդկաստանը, սակայն արևային հզորություններն ակտիվորեն աճում են Ճապոնիայում, Հարավային Կորեայում, Վիետնամում և Ավստրալիայում։ Հատկապես այն երկրներում, որտեղ արևային էներգիայի զարգացման գործում զգալի դեր է խաղացել պետական աջակցությունը։ ԱՄՆ-ում, օրինակ, գնաճի կրճատման մասին օրենքը և ԵՄ-ում վերականգնվող էներգետիկայի մասին հատուկ հրահանգը։
2023 թվականին նաև աշխարհը սկսել է մեծապես օգտվել նոր տեխնոլոգիաներից, հատկապես արևային վահանակների և էլեկտրալարերի ստեղծման գործում։ Նախնական գնահատականներով` դրանք ՕԳԳ-ի մոտ 2 % շահույթ են տալիս՝ 24 %-ից հասցնելով 26 %-ի: Տեխնոլոգիաները դեռևս ամբողջությամբ վստահելի չեն, բոլոր դեպքերում դրանք կայուն չեն կոռոզիայի նկատմամբ, բայց գիտնականներն ահռելի պոտենցիալ են տեսնում, ավանդական սիլիցիումի փոխարեն, օրինակ, արևային վահանակներում սկսել են օգտագործել պերովսկիտ հանքանյութը, որն ավելի բարձր արդյունավետություն է խոստանում, քանի որ դրանից պատրաստված վահանակներում հնարավոր է կարգավորել կլանված լույսի ալիքի երկրությունը։
Հնդկաստանի Բոմբեյի տեխնոլոգիական համալսարանում նոր վահանակների փորձարկումներն ավելի քան 26 % արդյունավետություն են ցույց տվել: Մասնագետները նշում են, որ 2024-ը շատ ավելի լուրջ առաջընթաց է գրանցելու արևային էներգիայի զարգացման ոլորտում։
