Ադրբեջանի իշխանությունները լուրջ խախտումներ են թույլ տալիս բնակիչների կրոնական ազատության հետ կապված, նշել է ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Էնթոնի Բլինքենը՝ պահանջելով դադարեցնել հավատացյալների նկատմամբ հետապնդումները։

«Կրոնի կամ հավատի ազատության խթանումը եղել է ԱՄՆ արտաքին քաղաքականության հիմնական նպատակը այն պահից սկսած, երբ Կոնգրեսը 1998 թ.  ընդունել և կիրառել է Կրոնական ազատության մասին միջազգային օրենքը: Այս շարունակական հանձնառության շրջանակում, ես Բիրման, Չինաստանի Ժողովրդական Հանրապետությունը, Կուբան, ԿԺԴՀ-ն, Էրիթրեան, Իրանը, Նիկարագուան, Պակիստանը, Ռուսաստանը, Սաուդյան Արաբիան, Տաջիկստանը և Թուրքմենստանը ներառել եմ հատուկ մտահոգություն առաջացնող երկրների ցուցակում, որտեղ թույլ են տրվում կրոնի ազատության լուրջ խախտումներ»,– ասված է հաղորդագրությունում:

Էնթոնի Բլինքենի մամուլի հաղորդագրությունը տեղադրված է ԱՄՆ կառավարության կայքում և թվագրված է հունվարի 4-ով։

Այս երկրների կառավարությունները պետք է վերջ դնեն այնպիսի չարաշահումներին, ինչպիսիք են հարձակումները կրոնական փոքրամասնությունների համայնքների անդամների և նրանց պաշտամունքի վայրերի վրա, համայնքային բռնությունները և երկարատև բանտարկությունը խաղաղ արտահայտման համար, անդրազգային բռնաճնշումները և կրոնական համայնքների նկատմամբ բռնության կոչերը:

AFP-ն նշում է, որ սրա պատճառով Բաքուն կարող է հայտնվել ամերիկյան պատժամիջոցների տակ։
