Իրանի արտգործնախարար Հոսեյին Ամիր Աբդոլահյանը երեկ այցելել է Հայաստան, առանձնազրույց և ասուլիս ունեցել արտգործնախարար Արարատ Միրզոյանի հետ, ինչպես նաև հանդիպել վարչապետի պաշտոնը զբաղեցնող Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին։ Համատեղ ասուլիսում Աբդոլահյանի արած մի քանի հայտարարությունները վկայում են, թե, որն է նրա այցի իրական նպատակը։ Մասնավորապես Աբդուլահյանը հայտարարել է, թե Իրանը ճանաչում է Հայաստանի տարածքային ամբողջականությունը և առաջիկա ամիսներին հնարավոր է կայուն խաղաղություն, թե՛ Հայաստանը և թե՛ Ադրբեջանը տրամադրված են դրան։ Նախօրեին Աբդոլահյանը զանգահարել և հեռախոսազրույց էր ունեցել Ռուսաստանի ԱԳ նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովի, Ադրբեջանի իր պաշտոնակից Ջեյհուն Բայրամովի հետ։ Երեկ այդ մասին նաև հայտնել է ասուլիսում։

Ամենակարևոր և առանցքային խնդիրներից մեկը, որ Իրանի արտգործնախարարությունը փաստում է նրա հայտարարությունն է, թե՝ «Հայաստանի խաղաղությունն ու կայունությունն ապահոված պետք է լինի առանց արտաքին ուժերի միջամտության ու տարածաշրջանային երաշխավորների շնորհիվ Իրանի, Թուրքիայի և Ռուսաստանի միջոցով հաստատվի հայ–ադրբեջանական խաղաղությունը»։ Աբդոլահյանի այս հայտարարությունը կարելի է համարել կոնկրետ նախազգուշացում Հայաստանի գործող իշխանություններին, որոնք արտաքին քաղաքական վեկտորը փոխելու և դեպի Արևմուտք թեքվելու իրենց քաղաքականության մեջ հաշվի չեն առնում ո՛չ Ռուսասատնի և ո՛չ էլ Իրանի շահերը, ուստի և Թեհրանից հատուկ պատվիրակություն է ժամանել Հայաստան՝ կոնկրետ զգուշացում անելու։

Իրանը շահգրգռված է տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության հաստատմամբ, դեմ է հանդես գալիս այսպես կոչված Զանգեզուրի միջանցքին, միևնույն ժամանակ Թեհրանը կտրուկ դեմ է Արևմուտքի առավել ներգրավմանը տարածաշրջանում, առավել ևս, որ Թեհրանը թշնամական հարաբերություններ չունի ո՛չ Թուրքիայի, ո՛չ Ադրբեջանի, ո՛չ էլ Ռուսաստանի հետ, սակայն այդպիսի հարաբերություններ ունի հենց Արևմուտքի՝ մասնավորապես ԱՄՆ-ի հետ, ուստի և Աբդոլահյանը հենց Երևանում է արել իր նախազգուշացումը՝ բացատրելով, որ դա կարող է խնդիրներ հարուցել։
